So ... It's been an interesting day.

I won't go too deep into the details last night, but let's just say I got to relive one of the most terrifying nights of my life, yesterday.

A couple years back my wife, Cindy, started complaining of pain right under her rib cage. She couldn't pinpoint it exactly, but to me it sounded like a kidney stone. I took her to the nearest health clinic (a 20 minute drive) and they treated her like a crackhead junky looking for drugs. Made her lay there in the bed, writhing in pain, for over an hour until the drug screening came back clean as a whistle like I had fucking told them. They still treated her like shit, so FUCK those people. They ended up telling her it was probably just gas and sent us packing with a $500 emergency visit.

Two hours later and I was doing 90 down the interstate trying to get her to the nearest hospital while listening to her screaming in agony, writhing in pain. I have never heard her scream like that before and to this DAY I don't watch scary movies any more because it fucking traumatized me hearing her wail like that. It took 45 minutes at 2am on an empty interstate at 90mph to get to a real hospital (we lived out in the high desert). They rushed her into the ER and ***immediately*** knew something was seriously wrong. They did their scans and before even telling me a fucking thing they were prepping her for emergency surgery. Nobody told me fucking ANYTHING until a nurse came out and told me that her gall bladder had literally liquified. It was being removed as we spoke, and the nurse said she'd never seen anything like this, but that she was going to be fine because I got her there just in the nick of time. Eventually the surgeon came out and told me that her gallbladder had basically necrotized and was the consistency of jello. Long story short ... A not fun time was had by all. I still remember her screams.

Flash forward to yesterday. I was just getting my day started - lots of pours to do. Imperial credits, 2ozt MF Doom masks, Star Wars helmets - you know, pure silver hand crafted art pours by Glass Panther. What the *people* want ... suddenly I get a text from her. She was still in bed and said she was feeling "off" ... Off quickly turned to icky, which turned to pukey. At this point I knew something was wrong because she had also developed an odd rash all down her back. We figured it was poison ivy from somewhere? Who knows, but I went and shut down my furnace and proceeded to get everything ready for a day of taking care of the one human being for whom I would die a thousand times.

It was all downhill from there.

A word about Cindy. Former marathon runner. 140 pounds soaking wet. 5'5" tall. No drugs, no alcohol, but she does smoke cigarettes for some fucking reason. Generally very healthy. But for some damn reason every doctor on the planet always assumes she's a methhead or is pill seeking or whatever. It's like pulling teeth to explain to doctors - we don't even stay up late, or smoke weeeeeeed mannnnnn. We're clean. Of course, I experience the same shit but different. I'm a big guy and so naturally anything wrong with me instantly gets a "it's because you are fat" diagnosis. I could literally walk into the ER with a hatchet embedded into my skull, complaining of a headache and the doctors absolutely will try to make my weight the primary cause. I'm 6'0", blue eyes, finance, but I weigh 340. Sue me. I'm a fucking Panther.

Anyhow, I digress.

She started screaming. That sound she made before when I almost lost her. That time I had to do battle with her to get her into the Jeep, but this time she was like "fuuuuuuck this let's go now" - she learned her lesson the first time.

Long story short - the screaming in pain as I drove to the hospital last night was just like before, but this time it took less than five minutes because I made sure when we moved to Tennessee that we'd live right next to a hospital.

Her entire digestive system had frozen solid. Gastroparesis, delayed stomach emptying, zero intestinal motility and non-existent colonic peristalsis.

It's going to be a very rough next few days.

Folks, please bear with me as I work through this. Your silver is here, I have hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of ounces of casting grain, and thousands of ounces of rounds and silver eagles ready to melt into works of art - but Cindy is my universe. I'm going to try pouring in the evening while she is sleeping, but during the days I'm going to be by her side.

GlassPanther is currently dealing with a sudden and unexpected family emergency. As I type this, he is still at the hospital with his loved one trying to get answers as to what is going on and what can be done.

Unfortunately, this means that shipping of orders is currently delayed. He is very aware that many of you are looking forward to getting your items in a timely manner, and as soon as this emergency passes and his loved one is stable he will get them packed up and shipped.

I am staying in close contact with him as I usually do, but even more so through this difficult time. I will try to keep everyone updated on delays and when the expected ship times are.

What am I saying? Every show is a special little dumpster fire 🤣🤣🤣

But Whatnot REALLY needs to stop vibe coding their entire platform. Holy shit 🤦 Shall we count the ways they shit their linens, last night?

1. The Surprise Set system is designed to allow 500 individual line items. Sounds good on paper, but it completely broke down after about 120 or so products were purchased. People couldn't BIN the slots. I had to spend the last five hours before the show sitting there in the stream telling people to click into the shop and search for "main" in order to buy their slots.

2. They decided to overhaul their whole chat system. Fine - but who the fuck thought it would be a good idea to literally have it refresh the DOM for every chat, every time, repeatedly 🤦 Massive bandwidth sink, and it absolutely wrecked my crowd control. Someone typing !hspin one time would have Homer spinning on screen for twenty damn minutes 🤣

3. The order page *crash crash crash crash* all night long. You guys couldn't see this, but it was a nightmare trying to monitor it. You might ask why I monitor it? Well - Sometimes it will SAY on screen someone purchased something when they didn't, and sometimes it WON'T say when they did! Willy buying those Trolololols, for instance - neither of them showed on screen or in the sold tab. I only saw them because the order page refreshed without crashing 😑

4. ... And on the subject of the order page ... Those numbers associated with the set like "(c9n-12345678)" were made so that I could pull a number from the envelope, type the number into the search on the order page, and find the winner ... Some dipshit thought "hurrr let's make it so you can't search for numbers hurrr" 🤦🤦🤦 ... also it would crash. I literally had to scrape the entire order history for the month of May into Notepad++ and do a ctrl-f 😅

... So overall a pretty successful show considering the sheer unmitigated failure of WN to provide a well thought out platform 🤣 Next show will run smoooooooth, however. I'm rewriting my entire chat integration codebase to make it bulletproof.

Onto to the subject of special requests. I sold a shitload of 1/4 GB Mini Carts last night, as well as 2ozt NES and GB carts ... These all come with labels.

As much as I'd love to mix-and-match the grams to your liking, I have a limited supply of each available. If someone got four if the same gram, for instance, I can't just assume you want me to switch it to four different ones - if I start making assumptions I'll end up giving some random new customer a gift-wrapped invitation to file a claim on Whatnot.

Metal Marios! I get asked for these CONSTANTLY and I don't want to make them because they are soooo hard to make ...

LOTS MORE Instants! This is going to be the best odds ever, and I've found a way to make it run JUST LIKE the wheel, but without the wheel!

Sooooooo ... As of last week Whatnot has nerfed Wheel shows!!! 😭😭😭 Well ... Technically they did away with their own Whatnot wheel. The TOS says in the UK that digital wheels are banned, but I'm not trying to risk getting banned here in the US even though their policy pages are written deliberately confusing so they can do selective policy enforcement. That said ...

They want to shift everyone to SURPRISE SETS. Basically, the same mechanic I've been running for my side games for the last couple shows. Like, XX slots at $YY each, with one person taking a bigger pour and the rest getting a themed gram. I think that my game can be modified to work with this. So here's the options we have to work with :

OPTION 1 : Have a BIG surprise set with however many slots ... 200-300, at the appropriate price. There'd be 20-30 Instants, also that many themed Qtr ozt pours, as always, as well as maybe 6-8 Envelopes that get announced at the end and the rest are grams. It would basically be EXACTLY the same game as before - just no wheel, which is huge for transparency but also sucks for the excitement/suspense. Whatnot distributes the wins. As soon as someone buys an attempt it is immediately pulled. Every item in the set has a "slot" number attached, and we do the top items at the end like always. There'd be no down and dirty, no auction, just BIN. Fair for everyone, equally, but you'd have to be there to participate. No prespins/pre-sales ...

OPTION 2 : I could do maybe 20-30 sets, each with 10 items. Each set would have one Instant, 1 or 2 qtrs, and the rest are grams. Top items revealed at the end as before. I'd sell all of each set before I randomize ... So once a set is sold out THEN I pull them and the wins are distributed ... And then we go to the next set. I could do the last couple sets with some extra *juice* to them and run them as auctions, down and dirty 🔥

OPTION 3 : Move the show to Palmstreet, and also start to migrate to a new subreddit - likely just r/glasspanther ... It's only a matter of time before they start to adopt the same policies as Whatnot, though ... It would keep the wheel alive for one or two more shows, but I'd have to completely rewrite the entire chat integration in less than a week. It's also *another* place to sign up for 😑 and I don't know shit about Palmstreet... This is my least favorite option.

With Option 1 or 2 it would be a much faster show, but I'd also be able to offer even more pours. I want everyone to have fun, too, and this is an equalizer in that every show ends with me answering dozens of messages from people saying they missed out because the wheel sold out. Everyone would have a chance to come in an grab spots.
