So I found the Harry Potter Candles at Walmart last winter and one of those reminded me of this candle. I pinpointed that it is very similar to Marauder’s Map. If not an exact repackage then it is very close. This candle does give you that outdoor just rained on wood scent. And if I had to pick out a difference it would be that this one has more of a greenery note. The throw is also very good as I have no problem smelling it. I’d give it a 6/10 throw. Just a little disappointed that it smells so similar to Marauder’s Map. I wanted something new but oh well.

So here is a just some of my haul (not pictured are Patchouli Leaves, Aloha Plumeria, Watermelon Hibiscus & Shoreline Woods. The Hello Kitty candles for the most part smell very good. Highly recommended. But Cinnamaroll is straight up foul. I gagged when I smelled that one. When I was young I was in the hospital with spinal meningitis & something in it reminded me of one of the medications I took while there. A memory I didn’t need unlocked. I think it must be the Mochi Dough. That was a scent I was curious about but now I know to avoid. I think the “Fresh” Mystery Candle is just a dupe of something BBW has done. I can’t put my finger on it since I hate Eucalyptus but I’m thinking it might be Eucalyptus Rain? Ugh is there anyway I can exchange for the Woodsy option? I’m going to be reviewing my haul so I can hopefully help others trying to decide like a bunch of you helped me. I have Watermelon Hibiscus going now.

Surprise box! 📦✨

This box was ordered last Friday and randomly arrived yesterday with zero shipping or delivery notice. I came home, looked out on the patio, and saw a Goose Creek box sitting there meanwhile my order status STILL says “waiting for details” lol.

Honestly… this entire box smells GOOD to me. I made some great picks!

1. Lush Lagoon
   Notes: lush blooms, fresh mandarin, marine waters & white sandalwood

I love this one on cold! You definitely have to enjoy a creamy sandalwood note to appreciate this candle. I’m honestly not getting much mandarin at all. It’s fruity, but not citrusy. You also get a soft aqua note from it. To my nose, it’s VERY reminiscent of Dashing Through the Snow from winter.

2. Banana Palm Leaf
   Notes: sweet banana, island coconut & tropical palm leaves

THIS was the famous candle from last summer that disappeared from the site almost immediately!! Some people got theirs and some didn’t.

I was iffy about ordering it, but I’m so glad I did. The banana note smells candied to me, almost like Laffy Taffy or Runts. Then the coconut comes in creamy and smooth. Total Banana Boat vibes The palm leaf note is almost nonexistent to me though.

3. Watermelon Hibiscus
   Notes: fresh watermelon, pink hibiscus, island blooms & sugar crystals

This watermelon is SUPER juicy. It smells nothing like Fresh Picked Watermelon(spring) or Fresh Watermelon from BBW. This one is more like a sour watermelon Jolly Rancher, which could be coming from the hibiscus note.

This is absolutely my type of scent. If you love watermelon fragrances, you’ll love this one too.

4. Limoncello Spritz (Repurchase)
   Notes: Sicilian lemon, mandarin zest & sugared ice

Zesty sugared lemon goodness. It reminds me of Sugared Lemon Zest or Kitchen Lemon from BBW, which is exactly my style of lemon scent.

5. Cliffside Sea Spray (Repurchase)
   Notes: saltwater shores, fresh ocean air & seaside citrus

This is basically a dupe for Lakeside Morning from BBW. If you love that scent, you’ll love this one too. Fresh, aquatic, airy perfection.

6. Saltwater Seagrass
   Notes: sweet seagrass, bright bergamot, salty ocean air & amber musk

You definitely have to love bergamot to enjoy this one because it is STRAIGHT bergamot forward. It reminds me a bit of Bergamot Waters from BBW. Not an exact dupe, but definitely similar.

The salty ocean air comes through too. This one is officially designated as a bathroom candle because it just gives elevated spa bathroom vibes.

7. Striped Beach Towel
   Notes: fresh linens, coconut water, sea salt & island gardenia

This is a fresh linen coconut candle and y’all already know I love anything linen, cotton, or laundry scented 🧺

The linen note here is super soft and subtle, not sharp or harsh. I honestly don’t get much gardenia or sea salt. It’s also not super strong on cold, so this one is heading to the bathroom too.

8. Georgia Peach (Repurchase)
   Notes: juicy peach, green leaves & sugarcane

As y’all already know… this is one of my FAVORITE Goose Creek scents 🍑

It’s such a juicy sweet peach. I needed a backup immediately, and I also love the OG label on this version.

9. Island Cotton
   Notes: island cotton, white driftwood & warm sea breeze

Again… THIS is my style of cotton candle.

The driftwood note blends so beautifully with the cotton. It’s not masculine driftwood at all, just clean, fresh, airy goodness. Honestly, this would make an amazing laundry softener scent.

10. Warm & Welcome (Repurchase)
    Notes: vanilla cashmere, marshmallow crème, white mocha & warm amber

The last time I bought this was back in 2023 when I was still a Goose Creek newbie 🥲

I’ve always said this scent would make an AMAZING perfume. I love anything vanilla and cashmere. The marshmallow crème adds the perfect sweetness too.

I genuinely don’t know why I treated this as a one and done scent because it’s SO good

MYSTERY CANDLES!!!!

(WOODSY) Cabana Crush- notes of white woods, coconut water, golden amber & vanilla sugar .

I love the name on this!! The labels on this collection are matte!

This is a white woods amber and vanilla candle! I don’t get any coconut from this! I like this!

(FRESH) Cool forest rainfall - notes of cool rainfall, sweet waterlily, eucalyptus & oakmoss.

Fresh clean and sweet!! It’s so good!!!! Reminds me of a spa!! The label on this pretty! I wonder if a whole collection will come out!

So this is one of the ones I was most excited for so I immediately put it on my warmer. At first it gave me what I was expecting very sweet first throws. Very very sweet I’m guessing that was the watermelon. The longer it burns tho the more it morphs into something else. I kind of feel it even leans a little gourmand. It got a hint of creaminess to it. I got the note that a lot of candles use for their coconut creaminess. The notes are fresh watermelon, pink hibiscus, with island blooms, and sparkling sugar crystals. I’m guessing what I’m smelling is the sugar crystals? It’s the star of the show with this candle as I was expecting more of the hibiscus and island blooms. I was expecting more of a floral but this one is interesting as it morphs into yet another gourmand type of scent ALMOST. the throw is pretty good I can smell it, it was able to be smelled in my living room with vaulted ceilings I’d give the throw a 7/10. Overall I am happy with this candle even tho it was not what I expected. Those who enjoy creamy sweetness in a candle will like this one.

I’m curious if anyone has both these candles and what are your thoughts?
They have very similar notes except Misty Cottage Mornings has cardamon and Saltwater Seagrass has Amber Musk.

I received my bakery mystery candle today and it’s yummy! I only smell tart strawberries and maybe warm banana like bananas foster. It’s good!! I don’t get the bakery scent too much, but I do like it and it definitely has a strong throw.

Sunday Reset is such a nice fragrance, I hope they bring it back this year, this is my last one. It's calm and clean, a little bit laundry without any sharpness. I saw someone posted about Storm Front recently and it got me thinking about scents that haven't dropped yet. I still have 1 unburned SF from last year but I do hope they drop it along with Sunday Reset. Spring and Summer candles are my favorites!

I am just in LOVE with Sunlit Shores! This is my second one so far, I have one more on backup, and may need a few more to get me through the season. 🌞 🌊
