I've been lucky that my smaller local Regal theater has gotten the monthly series. I know that's a luxury since not every theater does. That said, we usually don't get anything beyond the big-budget tentpole releases. For example, we didn't even get the Back to the Future anniversary re-release. We have been getting the Fangoria Staff Picks series, though. I saw The Lost Boys last month, and the turnout at my location was actually pretty good. They even ran out of patches, which makes me think either they didn't have enough to begin with or more people showed up than they expected. So when I went to buy my ticket tonight for American Psycho tomorrow, I was really surprised to see that my theater isn't showing it. I'm honestly pretty disappointed. I know theaters are struggling financially, which is exactly why it confuses me that they wouldn't show something that seems like it would draw a crowd.
