Alt Makeup for an 11, almost 12, year old girl
Hello!
My niece is 11, almost 12, years old. She is very interested in alternative makeup looks (think: completely white face). I wear makeup almost daily, but I know nothing about this style. I am wanting to take her to get a full face of products for an affordable price. Her mom’s only restriction is that everything needs to be latex free. Can anyone recommend me some products for her, or some stores where I could get her some alt makeup? I’d greatly appreciate it!
I’ve had a few really good responses on both of the posts I made, so I put together an Amazon List. I’m linking it here for anyone who’s curious! If anyone has any suggestions of things I should add or take away, please let me know!
how to change my casual makeup
hi! it's come to my attention that my casual makeup is strikingly similar to that of thoes stupid 'goth' OF girls. and i have actually noticed a negative impact on my life because of it. like the way that men approach me has changed for the worse. i tried doing inner corners but it doesn't suit me ( my eyes are really slide together lol ) has anyone got advice??
third ever attempt in goth makeup!!
I didn’t had white paint 😭😭
(bonus my 2024 first attempt at last slide)
My first time trying goth makeup!!
Did my makeup for the first time yesterday. The eyebrows aren't my favorite but I love how it turned out for my first time and it made me feel super good in my identity and my body!
First to most recent attempts at trad goth
I started doing trad goth makeup late last year and have only done it 4 times so far, but I'm loving it a lot. (Note: I didn't get proper photos of the 2nd time I tried this makeup as I didn't do a white base and was just practicing shapes). I bought a small pan of grease paint and am going to get some more in the future or look into a good white foundation. Funnily enough, I barely listen to goth music and listen to punk way more. But my political values and interests falls into both subcultures. My most recent time doing the makeup was heavily rushed as I had less than an hour to get it done before I needed to head to a local metal gig.
Experimenting(Baby-bat, minor)
Please tell me how I did. I'm looking for some tips as a baby bat I just started make up. I'm trying to keep it cheaper and also unique. I'm not afraid to add color and I'm scared to try new things as a person to color in the Goth community.
My first time trying trad goth makeup
This was my first time and I didn't have anything for my brows or anything but I'm going to get that later today!
What Goth Niche Am I
Just curious as to what niche fits my personal style best, I love coming here to find inspiration. Ive toned down since high-school, the first 3 are older and the last is a new picture. Ive been conformed for too long and im ready to be the real me again.

Starry Freckles Makeup Look
What do we think of the makeup look? Yay or nay?
I was just gonna do a couple stars under the eyes until I remembered I have free will. And who was gonna stop me?
do u think I can wear black lipstick to work? Dresscode is business casual
bareMinerals Latte pallette shade dupe?
I'm a goth leaning person, and I tend to wear "freshly turned vampire/just died" type makeup as my casual everyday look. Specifically, the shades "solstice" and "spirit". Unfortunately, bareMinerals doesn't make the Latte pallette anymore, and I've yet to find replacements for when these inevitably run out:( I'm sure there are probably some goth-leaning makeup brands that sell similar shades, but I'm terrible at judging shades from a screen. Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated!
Help with a first time buying make up
Hi so I was looking for some help with gothic make up in general. I’m a 19 year old guy who has no idea on how to even put on lipstick 🤣, but I’ve been getting into gothic/alt music and fashion and have loved my journey if you can call it that so fair anyway to the main point.
I was looking for brands that did make up that were good for sensitive skin as my skin goes though a lot as I’m a regular runner and gym goer so I sweat a fair bit, but any brands that you like that care for sensitive skin inclining eyeliner foundations lipstick etc, along with this I would like to ask if you have any tutorials or channels that explain how to actually apply make up would be really helpful as I have no clue, I think I’d like to start fairly simple and do a look like Robert smith I think and develop from there.
Thank you for any help it’s much appreciated
Side note for the tutorials I’ve like photos of people who have blacked out there neck to define their jawline and add a bit of edge I don’t know if that’s considered goth but seems really cool if anyone knows if that’s body paint or what that would also be amazing ❤️
