I’m catching absolute hell trying to remove this radio. Ive changed radios in a couple of other vehicles and didnt have any trouble but the 09 MGM aint having it. I have the special tool that i bought off of amazon but still wont come out. Im just looking for some help. Thank you in advance
I have an 05 grand marquis gs base model and I was wondering what mods I can do from higher trims like the Ls ultimate that can swap into my lower trim without a lot of hassle if there are any at all.
Hey there Panther community, I recently picked up this mint 1997 Vermont Green Grand Marquis for 2k! Unfortunately the dash just cracked and I'm in search of some other interior pieces, so if anyone in the Southern California area has a green interior on their 1995 to 1997 or maybe a few years newer and is willing to sell some of the interior components shoot me a message! Also out of curiosity does anyone know how rare the Vermont Green on green interior spec is? I've not seen any others before besides the occasional online.
Are there any modifications that you can recommend?

Removed and replaced bumper cover as two tabs below grill weren't in the right spot, they were below the receiving frame, not inside of it. Fixed now!

My mods; CarPlay head unit, Kicker Comp10 Sub w/ custom box and Alpine amp, rear sway bar and tints (back limo%, fronts 40%).
Would the MagnaFlow Performance 409 Stainless Steel 2 Inch Muffler 11224 be good for my 02 MGM, since the stock pipes are 2 inches?
I put the teflon tape in and tightened The summit manifold bolt in it to kingdom come and it still fricken leaks. How do I fix it and also how do I (while fixing) get it out with minimal damage. I (preferably) don’t want to drain coolant as well I’ve done it like 5 times this year.
Was going to swap the oil filter adapter gasket. went to unplug this and it just fuckin fell off
I recently inherited my grandpas 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis. I grew up riding in this car and I love it. The old plastic hubcaps are broken and missing the center caps. Instead of buying new hubcaps I was wondering what wheels would work on it without doing any modifications to it.
While trying to replace my alternator these two bolts broke… obviously the bolts on my car are very weak since they have seen usage since 30 years.
Im expecting the other bolts will break too, what should i do? And how do i fix this problem?
(They were both 8mm)

Just bought this 2005 Grand Marquis LS today. Only 32,000 miles. Have heard great things about this motor and the panther platform style, I’m excited to drive this thing. Easier and cheap to work on and very reliable let’s see if I can catch up and put another couple hundred thousand miles on this thing!
So I’m a girl who knows nothing about cars and this is a family vehicle, how screwed am I and is this car safe in the meantime til I can get a new one next year?
I just got a 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis and when I got it, it was a great daily driver. But I ended up getting a ton of power loss so I changed the TPS, and spent a few days replacing the EGR line which ended up having a crack in it. When my car runs there’s a sucking noise and it seems to be suffocating itself if that’s even a thing. I reinstalled everything and now I seem to have a problem starting my car and I still have the sucking noise. I have some pictures of possible suspects and I have a video of me starting my car, but I can’t seem to attach it, does anybody have any idea what my problem could be and do I have to worry about the 3 pictures I sent.
* Random plug I can’t find the connection to
* A hose that seems to be missing the connection that’s on the passenger side near the back wall
* a hose that’s connected directly to the EGR line which ended
1994 Mercury Grand Marquis. Airbag light flashing at constant rate. Aware of counting flash pattern to get a code on these vehicles but it always flashes at a constant rate with no pauses.
3 mechanics tried to diagnose it to no avail. Learned that paper click jumping terminals is only for EEC module for check engine codes but the airbag diagnostic module is its own thing. Plugging in a OBD1 ford scanner shows check engine codes but it “cannot establish communication with airbag diagnostic module.”
So paper clip trick doesn’t work, no flash patterns to decipher code, OBD1 scanner can’t talk to airbag module. Already checked under seat connectors and they’re fine.
I’m completely lost as to what to do because I know nothing about airbags, I know it could be some sensors or the module itself or wiring or even clock spring but idk how to even go about diagnosing it. What would you recommend? Taking it to the dealership would be my last option because they’ll probably charge me an arm and a leg.
