Election Results are in, and I finished 3rd

Hey Reddit Community! I just wanted to thank all of you for your engagement and many of you for your support.

I am so proud of what I accomplished, the coalition that has been built, and the relationships I’ve made. I will continue to be active in local government. There’s a lot of work to do, and I will continue to hold the current board and the next accountable to you.

Thanks for everything!

See you later Mr. West

I sure hope John West gets to taking his signs down soon. And you'd think he would, since driving around the city/county they would be a constant reminder that he'd been kicked to the curb. Again. Good job JoCo.

Visitor Observations

Hi I posted a while back asking for info on the area since my partner and I were considering a move from Nevada. We just got back from spending a week there to do a vibe check and here are my thoughts!

Grants Pass: Feels like a small town with lots of opportunity for enterprising people. Your downtown is so cute with all the little local businesses and I liked how all the big chain stores were in a different part of town. We talked to lots of locals and everyone was so nice and sang praises about the community. It’s got an undiscovered (or up and coming) vibe for sure. Could use a little more of a food scene but the places we ate were good. Nice trails and outdoor rec opportunity. We only saw four Trump signs in the area so that was nice. Loved the farmers market.

Applegate/Jacksonville: Cute little towns. Bet they’re popping with tourists in the main season.

Cave Junction: I felt like I could easily buy drugs there.

Medford: Nice clean city. Great little farmers market. We didn’t spend a lot of time there. The Mexican food was mid.

Overall we really liked the whole region. Very clean and nice vibes. Your prices are really good. Love all the farms and locally made stuff. We had a good laugh with the gas stations attendants when we learned about full service. We will be back for sure!

Any D&D Groups in the Area?

Hey all,

22 tF, looking to meet other people in person for D&D or other TTRPGs! Mostly looking for people around my age (early to mid 20s), but I don't have a problem going a little older

The games I know are:

  • D&D 5e
  • VAMPIRE 2e
  • Monster of the Week
  • Call of Cthulhu 7e

And I'd love to learn others! PLEASE teach me others

I currently live in Grants Pass, and I'd be willing to go as far as far as Ashland or Roseburg for sessions. Not looking for online groups, and I'm DMing for another group, so I won't be able to play DM

Looking forward to hearing from you all! Feel free to DM me :)

Good non Na/Aa recovery groups plz

Hey guys! Someone I care about is moving to town soon, and used to be a heroin addict. He uses methadone and will need a clinic, as well as a good support group.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Or places to steal clear of? Thanks in advance ☺️

Too Late to Vote by Mail

Hey Reddit community! It’s too late to vote by mail, you need to drop your ballot off in a ballot drop box now. The postmark rules have changed so if you were to drop your ballot in the regular mail it wouldn’t be back here in time to get counted by May 19th.

There are ballot drop boxes all around Josephine County.

Hello GrantsPass humans! I am looking for recommendations on a route that is 50+ miles. I am conditioning for a 50 miler in the next month on my longboard and then prepping for a 100 mile ride at the end of the summer. Currently my training and conditioning is on 6th street and M street for longboard dancing.

The picture is from last year in Arizona before it got too hot.
