Come as you are high note attempt, when did it happen?
In Milan 1993, and the studio version of Come As You Are, at the last line of the last “memoria” section, Kurt sings “No I don’t have a gun” overtop of the last memoria. In the studio version this was a mess up that they just ended up adding in, and as far as I know he only did it live once in Milan https://youtube.com/shorts/HgaQlEChduE?si=PFaORHPnw8L7Fab2, are there any other times he did this and if so are there links? Thanks!
Is it time to make it the Big 5 and add The Screaming Trees?
I know, I know Alice In Chains isn’t even in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame yet (and that MUST happen next). But hear me out…
The Screaming Trees are the 5th most mainstream successful Seattle Grunge band for sure. Mark Lanegan is rock vocal god on par with Kurt, Chris, Eddie, and Layne. Is it time we formally anoint the Trees into the S Tier of Seattle?
I think so. Thoughts?
The ultimate grunge album is...
In your mind, what is the ultimate grunge album, and why.
We need AI labels on Spotify and Apple Music
Since the start of 2026, the music world has changed
AI Music has now made up at least 28% up to 40% of daily uploads onto these platforms, and a decent chunk belongs to people pushing out AI music solely for profit over any form of creativity
With the addition of Spotify "carefully" labeling real musicians who do not use AI Generation, their requirements have left many musicians who don’t use any AI Generation and just below this requirement in the dust.
I feel that two additions to both of these platforms will let users / listeners who use these music platforms daily be able to fully understand in a complete transparent way on WHO they are listening to and WHAT they are listening to.
If there is enough evidence to show that the artist on this platform is AI Generated and not a real-life musician, it should have an "May Contain AI Generation" label on the artist profile itself, similar to how Spotify now has "Verified By Spotify" so the listener understands that the person behind the songs they are listening to with full transparency.
If there is enough evidence to show that the song on this platform is AI Generated, it should be listed next to the artist name on these platforms with "May Contain AI Generation", so if a listener finds the song on a "Mix" or a "Radio" they are listening to, they are able to view that the song could have AI Generation involved with it.
Considering that both of these platforms have allowed AI Generated Music to be put on the platform and have started to implement a crude method to verify musicians who don’t use AI at all, we need to at least have full transparency that the track was either made by a real human or made by an AI or an Hybrid AI/Human track

happymag.tvVersion of "Days of the New - Shelf in The Room (1997)" without the squeaking?
I apologize if this sounds stupid but I am looking for a recording or edited version of the song "shelf in the room" by days of the new without the squeaking sounds or a live recording of it that isnt just 90% the crowd screaming. It's such a great song but the squeaks and crowd screeching are just too much for me personally because I am autistic as shit and it is just like that for me sometimes lol. I have to skip it every time even though it's one of my favorites off that album.
I can't find anything online except for a few live recordings but the crowd is so loud in those its equally as being too much. Really love this song so I was hoping y'all could help. Much thanks, once again sorry if this is stupid.
If I find one or someone sends one I will link it on the post for anyone else searching for it.
edit: i cannot view any comments whatsoever but yes, i am talking about the squeaking from fingers on the fret board. the live recordings ive found do not pick up on this sound at all but the audio quality is extremely poor or is just mostly the crowd screaming unfortunately.

Pavement
From lofi Indy to pure grunge Alt Rock glory to every offshoot 90s rock had to offer this band is imo THE ultimate most efficient and wideranging soundtrack to the 90s from Nevermind to 99 and the clever witty lyrics/delivery never cease. Show me a word that rhymes with Pavement and I will kill your parents and roast them on a spik.
This is an instrumental demo of a 'grunge' song I wrote, what are your thoughts? I'm open to feedback.
Before you comment, keep in mind that I had little time at the studio so I had to do only about a quarter of the song.
And as a result of this time crunch, I wasn't able to do vocals either but I do have them in mind.
I play every instrument on this recording.

We decided not to attend that evening but our concert friend went and took these pics from the front row at the last show in Detroit. Credit to Muzzy🤘🏻
Best song from "Tiny Music… Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop" or maybe from their entire discography. I'm listening this song for almost 1 week every day it's just mind-blowing.
Remembering the legendary Chris Cornell who passed away 9 years ago today.
