Listening to Chris Cornell earlier and realized I’m anxious about turning 53.

To be specific: my lapyear with his age when he passed away at 52. I am still on the young side of 40 when rounded off but I cannot imagine myself hitting or exceeding our lapyear and realizing that I’m kinda on my own. I look to his lyrics often when I can’t figure shit out and just need something to hear. I know it sounds funky and I might not be coming off as clearly as I want but it’s really just that.

Have any of you felt the same about growing older than the singers and the bands that you listen to? Feels like getting stripped of immortality.

Or maybe because Sunshower is really just that strong. “All you will be, you are today.”

Heavy night.

For context, ako talaga madaldal at makulit sa amin. Pero notorious misis ko na mag-text ng one-liner tapos ilang oras bago next reply. Naging running joke na lang sa amin. Twenty years together pero mga bata pa rin. 🩵
