Spotted a Nissan GT-R
No crazy driving or anything of that sort, I just wanted to share this clean GT-R spotted on my way to work.

The Midnight Purple 2 V-Spec is about to finally head home after just over a year of being worked on and of course waiting for it almost impatiently. Was super cool for Larry Chen to snap a few shots of it when he visited, alongside the rest of PFS’s garage inventory.
Included some updated photos I’ve received of it after it’s PPF and ceramic coating.
I’m sad that there was only 150 of them in the U.S.
Anyone interested?
This’ll be my first year at Gtr fest and I’m entering in both classes. I will say I have no switch to disable awd, and I’ve never staged my car before 😿 other than that I’m excited to come out and have some fun :)

Hi everyone,
Yesterday evening, just before I got home, I decided to do one more full-throttle pull from 0 km/h in my R35 GT-R. During a gear change near redline, I immediately noticed when getting back on the throttle that the engine was no longer making full power. It felt like the car was not running on all cylinders.
I pulled over and tried restarting the car, but the problem remained. Since I was only about a kilometer from home, I drove back very gently.
Once home, I connected my diagnostic tool and found fault code P0305 – Cylinder 5 Misfire.
Based on your experience, what do you think is the most likely cause? Should I be worried about worst-case scenarios right away, such as a damaged piston, melted piston, etc., or are ignition coil and spark plug failures relatively common on the GT-R?
It was already late last night, so I didn't have time to investigate further. My plan this weekend is to start with the simple things: swap the ignition coil from cylinder 5 with another cylinder and see if the misfire follows the coil. If it doesn't, I'll replace or swap the spark plug next and continue diagnosing from there.
Has anyone experienced something similar with their R35? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!
As the title says Im finally in a good financial position where I can comfortably own an R35 GTR. However, just like all the other cars Ive bought I know every car has its quirks and common issues and maintenance to look for. Im currently looking at buying used 2012 and up with a clean title. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Going through the archive. This was Michael's car, one of the first R35s in the US to run the full Varis Kamikaze-R wide-body.
The aero got the attention but the spec underneath is what we're still proud of: Switzer R1K-X Stage II VR38 dyno-proven at 1,401 whp on E85, KW V3 Clubsports with a front lifter, Overtake x Brembo carbon ceramics, Volk TE37 Ultras in a custom Nismo Red. Interior left stock Black Edition, so it genuinely drove like a street car.
It picked up a Speedhunters feature shot by Larry Chen and a DSPORT cover. What still surprises us is the aero holding up a decade later when a lot of that era looks dated now.
Curious what this sub thinks: for a 1,400+ whp R35, would you keep it streetable like this or commit fully to a track build?
