Hello everyone.

I was in the data analytics domain for 3 yrs but want to shift into Guidewire dev role.

I don't have any java background. Can someone guide me on what things to learn and how difficult it is.

Also in real time projects, i will be expected to work independently on my own task. so how difficult is it since Guidewire is not open source. How do you all figure out how to do a particular task if you get stuck.

And how is the job market? Will i get interview calls without certifications. Since i am in a different domain my organisation will not pay for Guidewire certs.

I have around 10 years of overall IT experience, including 5 years as a Guidewire Digital Developer, worked on xEngage applications, custom portals, and JDP microfrontends. I'm currently with a Big 4 firm and am interested in exploring opportunities at Guidewire, particularly in the Bangalore office or remote roles.

My experience with PolicyCenter configuration is limited. Would that be sufficient to be considered for a role at Guidewire? How challenging is the interview process, what are the typical expectations, and what areas should I focus on to prepare? I'd appreciate any advice from those who have made a similar transition.

Need training and guidance on the new cloud Integration frameworks like Integration Gateways, App Events & I/O configurations.

Any place where I can learn this and have hands-on!?
I did go through the material present in Education portal but feel a live working session with training will help me understand better.

Does anyone give me idea what should be salary for 7-8 years of experience in Guidewire developer? Any suggestion which company can give good compensation
