Neighbor is complaining, might have to rehome :( Need advice.

About 10 months ago I bought a house on 5 acres and the owners left behind some guineas. We've come to really love them and trained them to come inside the barn at night (previous owners only fed them occasionally, didn't provide shelter). They stay on our property 90% of the time but occasionally wander into our only neighbors 200+ acres. She has started complaining to animal control about the birds being on her side of the fence (dumbasses jump over and can't figure out how to get back). This neighbor is fully acting in retaliation because her dogs came onto our property and killed three of the birds last fall. I made a complaint to animal control about her shepherds (she has 4+) showing up on our property and killing our flock. The charges of that attack were escalated by the town, and she has to pay fines and restitution.

Now I have to figure out a way to keep the guineas inside our property or rehome them. Their barn is surrounded by 6ft fencing but obviously they fly over that. Our property is also fully enclosed with a fence, but that doesn't do anything either. We set up shiny pinwheels to try and deter them but I don't even think they noticed them.

Do any of you keep your guineas fully enclosed? How is their quality of life? She's absolutely entitled to not want them on her property I'm just disappointed because she's clearly doing this in retaliation. She was friends with the previous owners of our home and the birds have gone over there for years, they even used to feed the birds over there for the previous owners. Is there something I can add to an existing 6ft tall fence to stop them from going over?

Looking for information

We are looking to get a few guineas for pest control. Are they noisy at night after they are cooped? Qnd I’ve had a few patient’s that had them and they didn’t seem as noisy as everyone claims. What does everyone think? Noisy or just when they feel threatened?

Do my guinea look healthy

They aren’t In the ideal setup I’d like they were with my flock of chickens up till yesterday and today I’ve let them out they seem normal but the second I let them out and gave them their food (I took it In Hopes of lowering the chance of predators) they rushed to it so I’m worried that they weren’t eating enough to sustain themselves while they were with my flock these are my first Guinea please help me in anyway you can also they’re in an old chicken coop with plywood floors that the coop is screwed onto

Egg hatching.

I know everybody will say don't help a keet to hatch. At what point does this rule end?

I have a keet who has been trying to hatch for the past 2 days. It's still alive. Do I just let it die in the shell or help?

This guy showed up in my garden next to my chicken coop almost two years ago. I'd always wanted guineas because we have a high tick population but thought they would roam off so I never invested in keets. From the very first night this guy walked into the chicken coop and he's never left since. Free ranges with the chickens every day. I can't believe it. I have no idea where he came from! No one in a ten mile radius has guineas. Maybe he was a drop off?? We named him Reggie and he's been a hoot. Crazy, crazy clown, chases our roosters constantly and protects the hens from them! Best watchdog ever!

Splayed legs

I will admit that I was not truly prepared to deal with this. Don't really have the supplies to do it vet wrap stuff.

Just spent the last 30 minutes trying to hobble a keet and failed.

Any ideas on how to correct this or should I just let nature take it's course.

15 keets hatched

Suggestions, ideas ?

Sudden onset of aggression?

We have had this single guinea bird for several years. Our neighbors moved and left it, so she integrated into our flock of birds. We have chickens, turkeys, and ducks. She has always been mildly petty. Occasionally pecking or pulling on other birds' feathers.

However, this morning, she was viciously attacking my rooster. When I managed to catch her to stop the attack, she had blood all over her beak and face, and he was bleeding from the neck.

I have isolated her for now but wondered if there could be an underlying issue? She's always been somewhat aggressive, but this is her first attempt to actually kill another bird.

TIA

Big Enough To Move?

Hey guys! New to guineas. Are these little terrors/escape artists/spawns of satan/sweet-baby-precious-angels big enough to move outside? Not really sure what level of “fully” is meant by fully feathered.

Two questions about keets

The first is how long can a newly hatched keet stay in the incubator?

The other.

There is a clutch of eggs I let mum sit on. They should be hatching soon. It's the dry season here so now "wild" water. How can I get these keets water.

Don't just say snatch them up, cuz my mum is evil carnate. I tried to get her water before barely got away with my life.

I don't know why folks say their terrible parents cuz mine are tasmanian devils.

Thanks
