Risk It - Mercy For None FFO Terror, No Warning, Bitter End, and Backtrack

Risk It’s “Mercy For None” is out now. 10 songs of straight NYHC-influenced hardcore produced by Nick Jett (Terror) and Rene Natzel (True Blue). These guys are true students of the game and it shows in every second of this record. If you’re into No Warning, Terror, Backtrack, or Bitter End, this one is for you. One of my favorite releases on WAR Records to date. In store and on all streaming platforms now.

Do you guys think that this band is neo Nazi?

It's a band called "una bandita indie de la plata" it is an Argentinian band that have many albums, songs and videoclips.

In the videos you can see how the lead singer looks and that thing, plus the things that they says in their lyrics, make me thought that maybe they are neo nazis, or almost the singer.

The guy have many symbols, an skrewdriver tattoo, skin head.

Look for yourself. Im asking this because i thought that this is a place where people must know about this topics.

PD: I'm so sorry if my english is bad LMAO

UK Subs and US hardcore

Charlie Harper, long time singer for the UK Subs, claims to have “brought hardcore to America”. I have never heard anyone cite the UK Subs as a big influence on that first generation of US bands. Happy to be told I’m missing something - what do you think?

The article is paywalled in a right-wing British magazine called the Spectator. But here’s the key quote:

“America saved them and gave Harper his career. Young, angry, suburban men began propagating the idea of 'hardcore punk - punk that eschewed all frills and melody in favour of aggression and velocity.

Instead of singing, frontmen barked, just as Harper did on those hits.

“We brought the hardcore thing to America and then it went really over the top,” he says. “Everyone tried to be faster than everyone else. And now these bands look on me as the godfather of hardcore.””

New Jersey Hardcore In The 1990s Taped On VHS - About To Bust!

During the 1990s, I taped a bunch of hardcore, punk and alt bands in New Jersey on VHS, along with my friends and I goofin' around, going to parties, going to shows and driving around aimlessly. Recently I edited all the tapes, cut them down into a 2 hour supercut of the 'greatest clips' and stitched it together into this film called ABOUT TO BUST!

The bands are: Vision, Floorpunch, Ignite, Sefler, Fastbreak, Hands Tied, Clubber Lang, Get High, Bad Luck 13, Rain On The Parade, Last Straw, Submission, Slide and Mustard.

This footage captures what it was like in central New Jersey during the 1990s for my friends and I. We were into wasting time, going to hardcore shows, hanging out at Denny's, driving around aimlessly and partying, not necessarily in that order. There was no nightlife, so we had to make our own.

Hope you dig it, Cheers

Agnostic Front - United Blood - e.p. vs l.p.

I love this e.p. despite not really caring much for Agnostic Front in general ("Victim in Pain" is cool too, however).

But it looks like getting a repress of this e.p. isn't widely available, as far as I can see. Actually Bridge 9 did a repress in like 2009, but they changed the front cover to something ugly. They did another issue in 2023, but this time it's the "United Blood l.p." which adds a bunch of unreleased tracks and outtakes, which in theory is cool, but they reordered all the songs mixing new tracks with old. I'm not into this. Giving it a couple listens, the new songs are just as good, but why mess with the original like that? It starts off with a "alternate take" of "United Blood" so now there are two versions. Does anyone think this is a good idea? Anyone prefer the l.p.? It seems like this is what i'll have to get, or should i just get the 2009 press of the e.p.?

what's the most epic shows you attended that you can recall?

At Broken Bones I met Bones and that alone was epic for me.

The Varukers is one of my favorite bands and they did not dissapoint live. I was glued to the PA system, and that show was also packed to the gills. Hundreds of us.

Lastly, every show that went on inside of the insdustrial sized garage was epic as fuck.

I know I'm forgetting a band but oh well. Going off what I remember
