Bicycle Only Pete’s Cycle in the 90’s?

Sorry forgot to say Bel Air even though it’s implied.

I’m trying to make sure I’m not crazy but I SWEAR my parents took me to Pete’s Cycle around 1995 to buy my first BMX bike and it was next to Ponderosa in the strip where Looneys is currently. All my friends say I’m wrong and the only Pete’s Cycle that existed was the one that recently closed and sold motorcycles.

Am I crazy?

Maryland House Bill 1523 bans the sale of 7-OH effective July 1, 2026

I just wanted to let everyone know that this bill bans the sale of pills with 7-OH. Many kratom users will be affected by this legislation and many people will probably be sent into severe withdrawals.

Personally, I think a 30 day period before the ban went into place would have been more compassionate. 7-OH is actually a safer opioid than other alternatives due to the signaling being through g-protein pathways compared to beta-arrestin.

If you currently take them, you may still find some places selling out of their remaining stock but of course that is risky.

Just wanted everyone to know because this could affect many users.

Private renters?

Our lease is up in march and we are not happy with where we are. We would prefer to rent a house or townhome from someone privately. Unfortunately our budget is around 1450 for rent. Family of 3 with a dog (mutt). I’ve tried looking on Zillow and fb marketplace.

Does anyone have any hidden contacts or suggestions

HVAC Humidity Question

I have a Carrier hvac. The thermostat is reading 58% humidity, but the hygrometer (thermopro) I have right next to it says 50% humidity. So my unit is currently running longer than needed to overcool the house to reach a humidity level that seems inaccurate. I even put a dehumidifier (GE) in that room last night. The dehumidifier turned off at 50% and the unit still ran all night.

I know it’s currently a heat wave, but does it sound like my thermostat is faulty? Anyone know of a good hvac place to call and ask? I don’t remember having this issue last summer.

Drivers in harco/maryland are the reason why I have driving anxiety

Ok so the drivers here are terrible. My dad spends alot of time in Texas for his job, and he said that the drivers there in Texas are better than they are here. Not only that, but I myself have driven in the state of California before, and I was shocked to see that the drivers there in Cali are a lot more patient than they are here.

With that being said, why do people have to drive like such assholes here? I just don’t understand what’s wrong with people. It’s genuinely not that hard to just drive with normalcy. It’s about every single day that I find myself encountering one or more of the following while driving here:

-Someone weaving in and out of lanes and squeezing in between tight spaces of traffic all while not even using their turn signal or checking their mirrors. At some point, they end up damn near almost causing an accident while driving like this.

-Someone riding my ass despite me already going 5-10 over the speed limit (I’m not referring to when driving in the passing lane btw) or someone riding the absolute hell out of someone else’s ass despite that person also already doing 5-10 over the speed limit.

-Getting honked at for not making a right on red at an intersection that quite literally has a big fat sign that says “NO RIGHT ON RED” in bold letters on it.

-Getting SEVERELY honked at (like I’m talking full on laying down on the horn for 10+ seconds and yelling cuss words out of the window) when I’m waiting to make a turn because my view of oncoming traffic is currently blocked (by like another car or a line of cars) and so as a result, I don’t feel safe to make my turn yet and so I wait until it’s safe to turn or until I can see.

-Almost getting rear ended while waiting at a red light because the person pulling up behind me decides to approach the intersection at high speeds and then waits until the last minute to actually hit their brakes and come to a stop (probably not paying attention).

-People speeding up and not letting you over at any cost when they see that you’re trying to get over.

And yeah the list could go on. Not sure why people always have to drive like they have a stick 10 feet up their ass here.

edit (as suggested):
i was suggested to add some of my interests so here they r lol:

-terrible, self indulgent media like reality tv
-deeper conversations involving politics, identity, and experience
-trying new food, as well as cooking

Before & after of a mulch bed refresh we finished

Hey everyone, just wanted to share a before and after of a landscaping job we recently finished here in Harford County.

We cleaned up and reshaped the front beds, removed the old border, edged everything, kept the existing plants, and installed fresh dark mulch to give the front of the house a cleaner look.

My brother and I run a small local landscaping business and this is the type of work we’re doing for homeowners around the area — mulch installs, bed cleanups, edging, trimming, small plant work, and general yard cleanup.

If your front beds are overgrown, messy, or just need a cleaner look, feel free to reach out. We’re local, affordable, and trying to build up more work around Harford County.

Thanks for checking it out.

Where to watch the Bel Air fireworks?

I'm looking for a new place to watch the Bel Air fireworks. We used to watch from the Briar Hill shopping center with the Safeway, but the trees are getting too tall and block most of the fireworks. Not to mention trying to get out of there takes way too long.

Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!
