We know that one of the upcoming storylines in the DCU is going to be the Salvation story arc, which was introduced at the end of Peacemaker Season 2 leaving Chris trapped there as well. ARGUS in cooperation with Lex Luthor are behind Salvation, and I’d even go as far as saying the whole thing is the brain child of Lex and he is just using ARGUS to fight his battle against all metas because he hates them deeply. ARGUS is going along because the government doesn’t trust Metas anymore after the Boravia incident, and believes prisons like Belle Reve and Arkham are ineffective at holding Metas.

Lex is going to be a major character in Man of Tomorrow, and one of the other confirmed returning characters is going to be Hawkgirl. She of course notably killed the president of Boravia extrajudicially and I’m sure is one of the first one the governments list. As she is part of the Justice Gang with Maxwell Lord in charge, I believe Lord will cooperate the government and hand her over. It would be as easy as pumping sleeping gas into her room in the tower and sending her through a door while she is sleeping. She’s strong but even Wonder Woman is vulnerable to attacks like that. Once she awakens she too will be on this new world and will be our POV character for this story.

I believe this could be the B plot to the film, especially if they tie Salvation to Brainiac somehow and they converge at the end. Hawkgirl has a lot of potential and giving her this role in the film would be a lot of fun, especially as she would have to team up with Peacemaker and those character interactions would be great.
