Looking to make a career change into becoming a hearing aid specialist. How does one get a trainee position? All the listings are looking for licenses.

I'm looking into maybe getting into this field and I'm wondering if anyone lives on the island or knows how hard it is in general to get into this kind of work without a doctorate. I have an Associates in Occupational Therapy, but I know that won't help with this job. Anyone have any advice?
