Hi all,
I was outside in my yard thinking about how excited I am for season 3 of Hellier, when I suddenly heard a train horn loud and clear. The thing is, I don't live close enough to train tracks and have never once heard it from my house before. It could have been something else, but I have never heard anything even remotely sounding like a train horn from my house before.
Hi all! During my annual Hellier rewatch I was scrolling this subreddit and remembered this insane experience visiting the domes in Point Pleasant after watching Hellier in 2021. I only shared it with one person at the time because I didn't know anyone else familiar with the show.
I drove through Point Pleasant during a cross country road trip from OR to VA. I went to the Mothman museum and then went out to the domes before leaving town. If anyone else on this thread has been there, you will know that you have to park and then walk down a gravel road to get to the domes themselves. When walking towards the domes, there is a still body of water to the left, maybe man made. I was there in the late summer, and there was a green film of what I assume is algae all over the surface.
I walked down to either the first dome or the first dome that was accessible from the overgrowth. I planned to simply leave an offering for Mothman and be on my way, which is exactly what I did. I left one of my favorite crystals on a ledge to the right of the dome entrance and decided to ski-daddle quickly bc the vibes were THICK. Thick like intense and creepy....
When I am headed back to my car, with the still body of water to my right, I see a fucking happy birthday balloon.
(At this point in typing this out I am realizing that I have pictures and a video that I will attach to this post)
This was not the first time that I had strange experiences that mirrored the synchronicities that the investigators experienced, but during this current rewatch I can help wonder why something THAT pointed to the case would happen literally right outside of the entrance to the Mothman domes that the investigators went to during season 2.
If I had to describe the feeling of experiencing these synchronicities related to the case as an outsider, I would compare it to stepping into and out of a flowing river, the river being the phenomenon. But....there are still so many curiosities around this specific example...IDK I could go on and on but I really just wanted to share and start a conversation about wtf this was and how it ties in and maybe get some similar stories from the community after or during yalls first/second/fourteenth rewatches.
I think I have drained the entire internet of the sort of supernatural podcasts I like best. I can't wait for more hellier or haunted objects pod stuff...
I'm after book recommendations - stories of the Paranormal, supernatural, esoteric, fortean kind, anything bordering on mysticism or philosophy.
Ideally I'm looking for anything I can buy in audible, so that I can binge-listen as I work. I listen to stuff for several hours a day in a work day, so I'd be grateful for as many suggestions as you lot can muster!
Pic of some cute otters for attention!
I think y'all are going to want to listen to the Spooked Podcast's latest episode. Just search for the title.
I'm not affiliated with the podcast, just a regular listener
Ok guys, I’ve had a wild run of premonitions come to be lately. So I’m home cleaning this afternoon and put Hellier 2 on in the background to watch / listen as I’m in & out of the room. And obviously - prep for the upcoming! So I stopped to look at my phone light up and Greg was speaking this on the screen at the exact same time 👀 🎈 We shall see, going to try and reply to myself with the video here next. Happy Friday my people!
