Hi all! During my annual Hellier rewatch I was scrolling this subreddit and remembered this insane experience visiting the domes in Point Pleasant after watching Hellier in 2021. I only shared it with one person at the time because I didn't know anyone else familiar with the show.

I drove through Point Pleasant during a cross country road trip from OR to VA. I went to the Mothman museum and then went out to the domes before leaving town. If anyone else on this thread has been there, you will know that you have to park and then walk down a gravel road to get to the domes themselves. When walking towards the domes, there is a still body of water to the left, maybe man made. I was there in the late summer, and there was a green film of what I assume is algae all over the surface.

I walked down to either the first dome or the first dome that was accessible from the overgrowth. I planned to simply leave an offering for Mothman and be on my way, which is exactly what I did. I left one of my favorite crystals on a ledge to the right of the dome entrance and decided to ski-daddle quickly bc the vibes were THICK. Thick like intense and creepy....

When I am headed back to my car, with the still body of water to my right, I see a fucking happy birthday balloon.

This was not the first time that I had strange experiences that mirrored the synchronicities that the investigators experienced, but during this current rewatch I can help wonder why something THAT pointed to the case would happen literally right outside of the entrance to the Mothman domes that the investigators went to during season 2.

If I had to describe the feeling of experiencing these synchronicities related to the case as an outsider, I would compare it to stepping into and out of a flowing river, the river being the phenomenon. But....there are still so many curiosities around this specific example...IDK I could go on and on but I really just wanted to share and start a conversation about wtf this was and how it ties in and maybe get some similar stories from the community after or during yalls first/second/fourteenth rewatches.

Dome entrance

I just found this subreddit and I am thrilled bc I was diagnosed with POTS when I was 12 or 13 (33 now) and NO ONE knew what it was. And when I say no one, I also mean 9/10 doctors I would tell I had POTS well into my early twenties. Now there is this like….POTS trend happening where everyone is getting a diagnosis as an adult and it’s given me an opportunity to revisit what living with POTS is like. My doctors (in circa 2006) told me I would outgrow it, so I have been living with the assumption that because I don’t pass out regularly anymore that I have outgrown it. But with all the new data i have so much context for subtle symptoms that i have chopped up to me just being sensitive as an adult. I feel so seen and finally able to be a very active participant in my overall physical wellness.
