I called every Ohio Congressman and asked them a simple question, here's what I found.

I called each congressperson and asked them a simple question: when was the last time the congressperson held an in-district town hall to hear from their constituents? Here's what they said.

**The Question Generally Asked:**
> "Hi, my name is Steve and I am doing a story. I would like to know one simple question if you don't mind... When was the last time the congressperson held a town hall in person in the district or on the phone?"

District / Congressperson Result
OH-01 - Greg Landsman (D) (Took Office in 2023) Sept 26, with more scheduled. Jack in the DC office was very nice. They answered the question very quickly.
OH-02 - David Taylor (R) (Took Office in 2025) Refused To Answer. The office refused to answer the simple question, instead referring me to ask via email to press director Rebecca Thompson (no thanks).
OH-03 - Joyce Beatty (D) (Took Office in 2013) No Clear Answer. The office refused to answer the simple question, instead referring me to ask via email to press sec. Kassie Baloue (no thanks).
OH-04 - Jim Jordan (R) (Took Office in 2007) No Clear Answer. Called the DC office; they gave me the number for the Lima office which went to a general voicemail.
OH-05 - Bob Latta (R) (Took Office in 2007) October 2025 (Telephone Town Hall), None Scheduled. The lady in the DC office was nice at the start, but was clearly not wanting to talk as I attempted to ask other questions and forced me off the phone, fair enough
OH-06 - Michael Rulli (R) (Took Office in 2024) Refused to answer. Stated that the congressman holds events in the district, but when pressed they couldn't cite a single town hall. The person who picked up didn't seem to have the liberty to do anything and gave a roundabout answer.
OH-07 - Max Miller (R) (Took Office in 2023) No Answer. No answer at the DC office. Called the Ohio office and was transferred back to the DC office.
OH-08 - Warren Davidson (R) (Took Office in 2016) Non-Answer. "Not 100%" sure; referred to Sophia Tomlinson. The intern didn't seem to have access to the answer and was just there to answer phones.
OH-09 - Marcy Kaptur (D) (Took Office in 1983) Yes. The office didn't have the exact dates, however.
OH-10 - Mike Turner (R) (Took Office in 2003) No Clear Answer. Didn't want to engage with me and referred me to social media.
OH-11 - Shontel Brown (D) (Took Office in 2021) Yes, August 2026. Several Scheduled. They were very nice on the phone and answered the question directly. Out of all the offices, this one seemed to be the nicest.
OH-12 - Troy Balderson (R) (Took Office in 2018) Yes, August 2025. Asked me to subscribe to a newsletter to get notified about new town halls.
OH-13 - Emilia Sykes (D) (Took Office in 2023) Yes, Sept 28, 2026 (In Person). They were very nice and answered the question directly. This was the only office where they didn't put me on hold.
OH-14 - David Joyce (R) (Took Office in 2013) No Clear Answer. Didn't want to engage with me and referred me to their press advisor.
OH-15 - Mike Carey (R) (Took Office in 2021) None Held since 2024. The office refused to answer the question and directed me to call the Columbus office (no answer). They hung up when I called back the DC office. (This is my district, so I wasn't very nice to them for this, if we're being honest).
Senator Bernie Moreno (R) (Took Office in 2025) No Clear Answer. "It should be on the website somewhere."
Senator Jon Husted Phone kept ringing no voicemail

Edit(s) Put when they took office in the table,
edit, thanks u/express_carrot_5479 for letting me know i forgot to put husted on there, I called his office to yesterday but it just kept ringing.. no voicemail or anything
