Lyft driving in Hendersonville

Curious if there are any Lyft drivers in Hendersonville that are on here? I’m thinking of starting and am wondering if I need to focus more towards Asheville or if Hendersonville has a demand. I would be driving mostly during the day. TIA

Shop Vac repair?

I have a Shop Vac I can't find a replacement switch for. Anyone know of a shop in the area that does repairs on these, or could help sourcing the switch?

Flexible McDonalds?

Anyone know of any McDonalds in the area who will sell the toys without having to buy the kids meals?

Edit: the one on Asheville Highway in Hendersonville will sell the toys individually, but only has hello kitty/godzilla and keropi/ghidorah.

Anyone know where we can find mothra, rhodan, and/or space Godzilla?

Need all the opinions.

My family & I moved to the area on 7/1. There are four of us: me (38F), kids (14 & 11), and best friend (37F). Obviously, now we have to find all the things: doctors, hair/nail salons, tattoo artists, bookstores, the little hidden gems we need to check out. Hit me with the good, the bad, and the “stay away from there!” Please 😊

Buying a house in Hendersonville... need honest feedback on 2020 Builders LLC

We are looking to buy a house in Hendersonville. The builder is 2020 Builders LLC. Does anyone not recommend them? Why? Do you love them? Why?

My husband is not a fan of new construction because he's witnessed the short cuts made in new construction homes...

The house was built in 2024. We want to know possible issues people may have run into down the road with houses built by this builder. Any information would be appreciated!

20 something looking for friends?

I’m (29F) looking for friends. I like to go on walks, birdwatch, and read. It’s tough making friends without driving to Asheville. Does anyone want to hang out?

Driving around this area.

Why do people drive with their bright lights on constantly? When it starts to rain, I can not see a dang thing at all and I’m 27 years old. Is it not dangerous for people to do that??

Also why does the city not have many street light?? That could help?

In the last 2 days I have experienced some of the WORST drivers around on top of almost getting into wrecks bc no one is paying attention , or using any signals on the car…

A car wanted to switch lanes while I’m next to them. They didn’t put their blinker on and almost ran me off the side of the road bc they just didn’t look to even see if the lane was clear to cross.

I was leaving sams and a car pulled out in front of me WITHOUT looking both ways so they begin to pull out and my car instantly brakes so hard….

If none of that is happening… I am stuck behind a random car that’s is going 35 MPH in a 45 MPH area.

WHAT IS GOING ON AROUND HERE???
Cars are so dangerous and I am scared to even drive around here bc no one knows simple driving etiquette or cares

I am about to lose my cool bc it’s making the roads so much more for dangerous…

Anyone else who works for a utility constantly have issues with belligerent people in Blacksmith Run? It is every single time anyone of us goes in there to check a site or our crews to install lines etc we get cussed out by at least 1 resident telling us we have no business being in there. 😔

EDS, QT, Perimenopause friendly doctor

I (39F) have just had the best experience with a care provider I have ever had!

Patchwork Community Care is a new facility in Hendersonville. The provider listened with genuine curiosity, we talked for a long time, and they ordered several referrals for me. The service was exceptionally trauma-informed, which was just such a relief considering a lifetime of medical gaslighting and ambivalence.

If you are Queer, Trans, in perimenopause, or have EDS (or any related ailments) or just want to see a medical care provider who will treat you like an entire person, go go go to Patchwork Community Care. Literally I felt like this provider treated me like a peer rather than just a patient.

If you are someone who has money, please donate your money to them.

I can't say enough good things. I'm so grateful 🙏

ISO Pit Bull Friendly Apartments

Hello! I’m beginning the super fun process of apartment hunting. I’m not necessarily in any sort of a rush, but just putting my feelers out there. Has anyone in this group had luck renting with a pit-mix? Just about every complex I’ve looked at has breed restrictions, so I guess my question lies more along the lines has anyone in this group had luck renting with a pittie/ pit-mix even in one of these breed restricted complexes? Looking for any leads, tips, or advice. Thanks!

DV Survivor needs help

Hello. I'm not sure if you can help me but I've exhausted all other resources. I've contacted many, many churches and organizations across WNC. I'm a resident at my sister's place(DV Shelter) in Marshall and this isn't my first time here. I've been here several times over the last 10 years because of the same abuser that I share a child with. In January 2025, after getting into an argument with my abuser and walking near Patton Avenue late at night, I got into a car with a stranger who kidnapped and sexually assaulted me for 5 months until I was able to safely get away. My biggest struggle right now is lack of transportation. Living in Marshall with no vehicle and trying to get a job is almost impossible and while I did get to spend time with my daughter this summer, we were just stuck at the shelter for the most part and unable to go out. I'm grateful for time with her but I feel guilt and shame for not being able to do more with her. And once school starts back I'll go back to only getting her on the weekends, if I'm lucky. If I had a car though, I could maintain our one week on one week off schedule that we've had throughout the summer months because I could get her back and forth to school. As far as employment, I have a pending claim for disability on a mental health basis due to the PTSD from the kidnapping. But if I had a vehicle, I could at least door dash to support myself somewhat, I have an active dasher account, but no car. Please if anyone has a cheap beater that runs I have a few hundred saved and maybe we could work something out on the rest, regular payments. I can't go to a dealership with my beat up credit and unemployed...and I can't get a job or make any income without one. I know i sound desperate, because I am. But i hope not to offend anyone, I know everyone struggles and I'm not special. Just a fellow human who could really use a helping hand. I hope whoever this reaches stays blessed & protected. TIA!
