Next Friday - Henry in KC....
Talking about the Cramps project and music/records in general to a crowd of maybe 50 people....can't wait. Link above should feature the event. Going to be amazing.

The first time I ever bought a ticket to see Henry doing spoken word was in Edinbugh, back in 1996. A car-full of friends and I drove the seven hours from our home in the Midlands only to find out that he had cancelled and that his slot had been replaced by someone else. We were so disappointed that we just asked for a refund and went to Pizza Hut before making the seven hour journey back home.
The person who replaced him was an up-and-coming Bill Bailey.
I am happy to report that I have seen Henry performing spoken word a number of times since (this isn't my full ticket collection, I think I have misplaced a few more), as well as the final iteration of Rollins Band (never saw the Chirs Haskett era, sadly). He always delivers, as I am sure everyone here knows.
It's been a few years since I last saw him live, but I hope it won't be long before I next do.
(I have also seen Bill Bailey, who is also excellent live).
He’s been really inspiring for me over the last few days and I’ve been thinking about writing to him. I saw a post on here from a year ago of someone asking the same thing, and most of the responses said he doesn’t write back anymore and that you have to reach him through his management, and even that is still difficult. Is this still the case?
I wanted to know if anyone has been able to get through to him more recently than that, and if writing him in present day is worth it before I go through all the trouble. I doubt I’ll ever get to see him in person but I can only hope..
Does anyone have a complete recording of Rollins' appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno to promote Get in The Van? I can only find it incomplete, like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQ7X7tvA7wg
i’m currently listening to henry rollins on the mohr stories podcast from 2014 (reuploaded to spotify in may) and mohr reads aloud, what i would describe as, a poem from henry about love, and i just really liked it! so, i thought id share, even though most of you probably have heard it before,, lol :)
New rollins book in the making
