Omg, I forgot how dramatic this movie was.
When I was a kid and High School Musical first came out, I thought that Troy was in the wrong and he was a bad boyfriend. Missing dates, being wrapped up with Sharpay and apparently abandoning his friends for other people. When I saw Troy and Gabriella break up I was absolutely heartbroken but I thought it made sense.

Now 20 years later? I'm on Troy's side. Just because he gets special privileges due to Sharpay and is focusing on his scholarships, that doesn't mean he's changed at all! I don't get Chad's or Taylor's or even Gabriella's fuss about his behavior. So he missed some events? Well, their schedules didn't line up. Something came up. It happens.
They're also working jobs, so they generally have to follow the rules and not slack off. The picnic and pool scenes were so romantic but they were right to get infractions. If anything Troy should have gotten one too instead of all the blame being put on Gabriella (but I understand Sharpay really wants to make her life difficult.)
Just because your bf or gf is hanging out with other people doesn't mean they don't love you either - both Troy and Gabriella look really insecure when they see each other hang out with Ryan and Sharpay or get caught up in something else.

Looks like the Wildcats are falling into their old "status quo" again.

I dont understand this movie, if I was dating someone, and this girl i knew he disliked, so much everytime she talked to him he looked disgusted, had a huge crush on him so much that she is basically handing him free college, witch is THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, and hes is getting his whole future made for him, and the worse that is happening is hes missing a date during a lunch break? I wouldn't be mad.

And before you say he was putting everything before his friends and treating them bad. I agree he did treat his friends badly but his friends turned on him the moment they saw him helping another girl and decided he was going to cheat? This was this man's future and they were basically saying "how dare you not hang out with me for an hour because you were getting connections to a really good college"

Being in college now really change my pov on this movie and I just dont understand 😭

uodate: I have caused mayhem, I just thought this was funny and honestly it is a kids movie and you can look at it how ever you want lol I just wanted to throw my option into the air cause honestly its all a little silly

one more thing I am not defending Sharpay and her actions, she was way out of line. im not trying to be little Gabrielles reaction, she had every right to be mad. and once again I said this all in good fun

Like did yall know about this because I just found out not to long ago and I was surprised is this a rumor or the truth please tell me

me and my friend Matty have been begging our science teacher for like two days to play the hsm2 soundtrack because he often plays disney stuff. And today he played the hsm1 soundtrack i got so happy and it was like a playlist of allllll the songs and when what time is it started playing he paused it because we had to clean up....we asked for him to continue it tomorrow and he said we'll see......wish us luck!
