Allopathy versus Homeopathy

The debate itself is quite old, so let’s leave the surgery aspect of Allopathy aside for the moment.

The real question is this: if Homeopathy and Allopathy make fundamentally different claims about how illness works and how it should be treated, can both systems genuinely be correct at the same time?

Homeopathy is based on the idea that illness is related to a disturbance or imbalance of the body’s vital or energetic state, and that the right remedy stimulates the body to restore that balance. Allopathy, on the other hand, generally approaches disease through identifiable physiological, biochemical, pathological, or microbial mechanisms and uses treatments aimed at controlling, removing, or modifying the underlying cause or symptoms.

If one system’s fundamental explanation of disease is completely wrong, then the other cannot simultaneously be correct in the same fundamental sense. At least one of them would then be based on a mistaken understanding of how the body actually works.

That raises a much bigger question: if one of these systems is fundamentally ineffective or based on a false premise, how has such a huge “fraud” continued for so long and become sustainable across generations and around the world? Millions of people use both systems, practitioners make a living from them, institutions teach them, and entire industries have developed around them.

So I’m wondering whether I’m missing something in the way I’m framing the issue. Is it really a simple case of one system being right and the other being a fraud, or is the reality more complicated than that? Perhaps the two systems are not actually making mutually exclusive claims in the way I am assuming.

That is the part I would genuinely like to understand.

Lost my sleep and unable to sleep at night after two traumatic experiences and defame due to parents and public humiliation.

Hello everyone , What homeopathic medicines should i take to get my sleep back? I lost my sleep in stages. Firstly after an argument and fight with my parents regarding starting a business with a public asset but instead they forced admitted me into a psychiatric hospital without any mental illnesses after the argument with the help of certain relatives and cops, I always shared a terrible relationship with my mother since childhood, which has caused an insane amount of public embarrassment and humiliation for me , since i returned from the hospital i haven't been able to sleep thinking about the incident. I haven't even gone outside of the house for the past 2 days thinking what people would say and think about me as people have got the news. The stigma surrounding it has caused me to have sleepless nights. I have never ever had sleep issues and always slept more and sleep was never enough till that day i had good sleep. I lost my sleep in stages At first I couldn't sleep in the daytime and now not even at night. My parents called all the relatives and did it all in front of them and it has caused even more humiliation for me with cops involvement. At this point I don't know what to do. Home environment has been ruined since then. I lost my job too in a dream of starting a business. Now I don't have both. Please help 🙏 i'm posting this on reddit because I can't post it anywhere else.

Isaac Syndrome

Hey fellas

Wonder if anyone had experience in treating a rare disorder that causes abnormal movements and sensations throughout the body coming from the central nervous system to the peripheral system with no known cause. Patient is suffering symptomatically very deeply but the medical establishment see the syndrome as benign and idiopathic. What are your thoughts/ suggestions?

Pancreatic Cancer help

My Father in Law who resides in Iran was diagnosed last year of Pancreatic Cancer. His Oncologist, gave him some medication to stop or shrink the tumors. While the tumors have stopped spreading, they have not shrunk and as a result he was again prescribed Chemotherapy. I have two issues that I am trying to deal with:

  1. I don't know if this is treatable with Homeopathy. Does anyone know any doctors or research that was done using Homeopathy and Pancreatic Cancer.
  2. My farther in law does not believe in any kind of alternative medicine and neither does his doctor. How does one approach someone who does not believe in this kind of thing.

Lycopodium

I was introduced to homeopathy five months ago, in March. I had heard about homeopathy before, but I had never really looked into it in detail. My general understanding was simply that it was a slow form of treatment.

After reading about it, I was genuinely surprised and kept wondering, “Why the hell didn’t I read about this before?” I came to the conclusion that I am a Lycopodium type, as many of the typical symptoms and mental characteristics seemed to match my experience. I have read and gone through several well-known homeopathic books, especially Kent.

I started with Lycopodium 30C for three days. After a gap of 50 days, I took Lycopodium 1M and repeated it after another 25 days. I then waited for almost 50 days before taking a single dose of Lycopodium 10M.

I have been dealing with gas and bloating for the last 30 years, along with other symptoms, including urinary and reproductive health issues.

I have noticed some positive changes. My sleep quality has improved considerably, and my gas and bloating problem seems to have improved by around 30%. I have also noticed some skin rashes appearing on the occipital area, which later resolved on their own.

My main question is: how much time does it usually take for long-standing symptoms to resolve? Should I consider moving to Lycopodium 50M? I have been very careful about maintaining a sufficient gap between high-potency doses.

I would really appreciate some guidance on how long I should wait and how to decide whether another dose or a higher potency is appropriate.

New to taking homeopathic remedy of any kind and am seeking clarity or validation

So I recently started taking Psorinum 200c from Boiron. Yesterday was day two for me. And I found that just an hour after taking it, I got incrediblyy drowsy and fatigued. Where the only thing my body wanted to do was be horizontal and lay down. This was in the morning, mind you. I took it on an empty stomach before any water or food. And that feeling of just being knocked out of energy lasted for a good few hours at least. Is this normal? I just didn’t think it would hit me that hard.. like I wasn’t functional at all.

I emailed my homeopath later in the day and haven’t got a response back yet. So, thought I would try here. Anyone have experience with Psorinum? Is feeling super duper fatigued maybe normal? I’m just not sure if this is a temporary that will be for my first few days on it.. or if it’s a problem of the dosage or something.

Just thought I would come on here seeking support and those with experience. Thanks in advance for reading this and for your time.

Helppppp

Need advice for severe hair loss + patchy areas
27M. I’ve had very thick hair previously, but over the past several months I’ve lost a huge amount of density, especially around the crown. I’m also developing some smaller patch-like areas around the sides/temples where the hair density is noticeably lower, and my scalp has been quite itchy.
I recently saw a dermatologist. She prescribed Minowave-F 1 mL for the general thinning and Tofatas ointment 1 mL for the patchy areas. I haven’t started the treatment yet.
I’m interested in trying homeopathy as well and have seen people recommend Lycopodium 30CH + Silicea 30CH for androgenetic alopecia.
Has anyone here actually had significant regrowth from homeopathic treatment for a similar situation? If so, what medicine/potency/dosage did you use, and for how long?
I’m particularly interested in experiences with patchy hair loss + crown thinning, rather than just general hair fall.
Please share actual experiences/results rather than just recommending a medicine. Thanks.
