So iphone 13 pro in 2026?

Long story short, Have base s24 rn. Bought m5 macbook pro so want to jump into the eco system.

Choices were 13 pro, pro max or base 15. Like I dont want the latest or greatest, i use mainly for media consumption and want a good battery life that lasts a day my soc is like 4 - 8 hrs depending on work.

My wants are just Pro motion and battery cuz once i used 120hz i dont think 60hz would cut it, thats why im hesitatant to go with base 15 even with type c port.

Would like to hear ur thoughts

EDIT : Pro has 100% BH PM has 80% ish

Finally decided to replace my battery

Was hesitant to do this for a long time fearing extra damage to the display or green line issues etc and the service center not owning up to it. But everything went smoothly. Also got lucked out with a recently manufactured battery. And holy my phone lasts like 2 days now. I used to charge it 2-3 times a day before. I was at like 73% and 1350 cycles when I checked via the shortcut app method. Hopefully now it should last for another 3 years.

Considering an upgrade.

I’ve had a 13PM since launch but I’m really struggling with the constant full storage and pretty atrocious photo quality of a night time. Mine constantly has focus problems, and almost every image is blurry.

Those that have have had a good play with a base 17, are you happy with the photo quality, would you say it’s an upgrade? I’ve read here that 13PM images still are some of the best ever produced by an iPhone, but I’m not sure why mine particular phone isn’t producing them.

Any advice would be great.

iphone 13 pro max "dead"

I’m experiencing a phone issue with my iPhone 13 Pro Max and need some advice and help.

The screen flickers, then goes completely white. I had it checked by a third-party repair shop, and it started booting up every five minutes, heating up and flashing the screen. Eventually, it won’t turn on anymore.

Here’s a timeline of the problem:

- I had my iPhone 13 Pro Max for four years.

- One day, the screen started flickering. I initially thought it was just a bug or software defect.

- Days later, the screen went completely white. I could still feel haptics, notifications and operate the phone underneath, but it eventually returned to normal after a few minutes.

- The issue persisted for a few more times, going completely white without returning to normal. However, I could still screen mirror with my MacBook and operate the phone.

- I didn’t have much free time, so I wasn’t quick to get it repaired because I could still access it.

- When I finally decided to get it repaired, there was no Apple store nearby. I found a third-party repair shop and explained my issue. They said it was just the screen. I agreed to get the screen replaced, even though it was non-genuine.

- When I received the phone back, it wouldn’t turn on anymore. The repair shop then told me it was broken and that the motherboard was the issue, so the screen replacement wasn’t necessary. They put the original screen back and said they couldn’t fix the phone.

I was disappointed because I had scheduled an appointment at an Apple store that was two hours away.

I visited the Apple store, and they checked the phone for any unofficial tampering. They confirmed it was fine and there was no tampering.  They tried turning it on, but it wouldn’t budge even after forcing power into it.  It’s now completely dead. They advised me to charge it for a full two days and wait for any sign of life. I’ve already charged it for two days, and it’s heating up like a phone should when charging, but it won’t turn on.  Sadly, I couldn’t upload my files and storage to iCloud because I didn’t think the damage would be so serious.

My concerns are:

  1. Would I still be able to revive my phone?
  2. What can I do to get it fixed?
  3. Would I still be able to retrieve my data?
  4. Is there a chance the battery is the main issue affecting the phone’s functionality?

*Edit: Before it completely shut down, the screen would turn pink whenever it booted and restarted. It would turn on, then within five minutes the screen would turn pink and shut down before restarting again. This cycle continued until the device became completely unresponsive.

No kidding. Really glad I updated to ios 18.7.8. Works better than I thought and the battery’s been good if not better.

I was on ios 16 for a quite long while before I decided to pull the trigger!

13 and 13PM battery difference

I have an iphone 13 currently which the battery desperately needs replacing on. For $100 (AUD) more I could get a refurbished 13PM with a new battery. I'm trying to determine if the battery on the PM really still lasts twice as long as the base model, and also if the camera upgrade is worth it? I was going to upgrade to the 17 but its three times the price as even the 13PM, so hopefully with a new battery in either I could get at least another 18-24 months out of a phone.

In need of opinions.

So, I’ve been reading online that 13 pro max users are starting to see downgrades to options on their phones as they keep updating the software on their phones. I’m still running the iOS 17.6.1 because at the time of the new updates people were noticing major battery decline with I believe it was the 18, or 26 update?? I want to be able to make my phone last as long as possible because I actually like this phone. So what is everyone doing with theirs? Should I just bite the bullet and do the system update? I’ve been noticing that I’m not always getting calls and texts now, and there’s times where I call via FaceTime and it shows it’s calling on my end but the other person isn’t receiving the calls. Or if I’m in a call and switch to FaceTime it won’t tell the other person I’m trying to switch it. There’s times where they initiate the switch during the call and it will just end the call all together. My call log will show the FaceTime attempts after the call has dropped. I’ve also debated on just doing the updates and getting my battery replaced since it’s not at a super great life anyways being 5 years old anyways. Any input is appreciated

Someone gave me an iPhone 13 Pro Max – won't charge with a cable (but MagSafe works fine)

I was given an iPhone 13 Pro Max, but it has a weird issue. It won't charge with any Lightning cable. I've tried multiple cables and adapters – nothing works.

However, if I put it on a MagSafe charger, it charges perfectly.

The strange part: if I plug in a cable while it's charging on MagSafe, it immediately stops charging. So the phone clearly detects that a cable is connected, but it refuses to actually charge from it. Can someone help me please

Is it better to change battery with fake one or i should stay with original one

As i said i just don't know what to do with my phone i bought it year and a half ago used one with 89 now it's 77 . The thing is that only solution is that i can have new battery that's fake one , cuz i live in a small town without Apple supported services. Will i get better performance with that fake one or should i stay with this original , i think i will buy new one at tje and of the year.

Upgrade or Battery Replacement?

I have had the 13 Pro Max since launch and just recently the battery health has notified me to get it serviced. Everything else works and is in great condition. Never serviced the phone before to get anything fixed. My question is should I have the battery replaced and wait for the 19 or even 20 or should I upgrade to the 17 Pro Max?

Advice on my 13 pro max

I have a 13 pro max 128gb and I’m unsatisfied with it due to microphone issues and constantly being out of storage. I’m debating if I should try to fix it or if I should just get sell it for cheap and get something else with more storage. Any advice? Should I order the parts myself? How can I even figure out which mic is broken?

Y’all have been so great the last 4yrs.✌🏼

I know this is not an airport and I don’t have to announce my departure. 🤣 I just want to thank all of you beautiful people in here for the help and great conversations since 2021 when our GOATed 13 Pro Max came out. 💪🏻 I replaced the screen and battery on mine at Apple and gave it to my best friend in need. 😊

I guess I’m a 17 Pro Deep Blue user now. Haha The upgrades are insane. The 6.3” size is much easier to hold than 6.7”. Take care, all.✌🏼
