Is it worth to update?

Hi,

I am owning an iPhone 16Pro and have heard that Apple slows devices after some updates.

Can anyone tell when to stop updating? And by update i mean OS/software update.

How much screen on time do you guys average? I'm thinking of getting a 14 pro with 90% battery health to replace my pixel 10a. Does your phone typically make it through a whole day?
