I know this is a long shot, but I’m looking for a bright blue/turquoise, 5th gen, iPod Touch with a worn “I ❤️ girls” sticker on the back (photo attached). I’m hoping someone may have come across it in Manhattan late** Sunday night/early Monday (around 12–1 A**M).
It was most likely lost somewhere around Hell’s Kitchen (9th Ave, W 49th–52nd St), 49 St station (N/W), on the N/W train, or Canal St station. I was also at Mickey Spillane's and around 256 W 52nd St. Later took the N or W train from the 49 St station, so it could've been left anywhere along that route.
It has a lot of sentimental value, and if anyone happened to find one, turned one in, or saw it for sale please lmk. I’d really appreciate it. 🤍
My almost 9 year old wants an iPod touch for his birthday. He loves listening to music and taking pictures. Wondering if it makes more sense to get an older iPhone with no SIM card instead so that the software is newer, better camera . Thoughts ?

Hi, today I decided to repair my olds sister iPod touch 4th Gen so it turned on after a Battery and screen change. The problem i have is that has the white screen problem, I forced the reset but the only sound it makes is the charging sound but I need help to make it work, any suggestions?

So did Apple release an update I didn’t know about? Apparently now I’m able to connect to my 6th Gen iPod touch with my AirPods 4 ANC without the connection dropping! Like it even sounds better?!
I should also mention that I had update my phone from the iPhone 13 Pro Max to the based iPhone 17. So I’m not sure if that too had anything to do with it.
Anyways, has anyone else had this experience?

Episode 1: A first-generation iPod touch.
I’m starting this archive with something that connects both sides of what I care about: vintage Apple hardware and music culture.
This is not a perfect museum piece, and I don’t want to make it look like one. The box carries scratches, pressure marks, shrink-wrap wear, old-stock dust, and all the small traces that show it has survived through time instead of being restored into something artificial.
For me, that is part of the object.
The first-generation iPod touch sits at a very specific moment in Apple history: after the iPod had already changed digital music, but just as iPhone OS and the modern touchscreen era were beginning to take shape. It was not only a media player. It was a bridge between the iPod era and the app-based mobile world that came after.
As a singer and vintage Apple collector, I’m interested in these devices not just as electronics, but as cultural artifacts: the box, the interface, the music shown on the packaging, the regional labels, the software era, and the way Apple presented music and touch technology at that time.
Many older Apple devices are wiped, opened, updated, repaired badly, or parted out before anyone documents what they originally were.
This project is my way of documenting them before that happens.
