IPod Touch No Longer Turning On

I’m so bummed! I’ve been able to charge up and look through my IPod touch for years, but lately it doesn’t seem to hold a charge anymore (new charger), and the screen looks somewhat corrupted once it boots up. When plugged in, it goes through the same cycle every time.

Is it done for? 🥺

iPod touch (2014) disabled

Hi, I have an iPod touch that I don’t remember the password to. I tried too many times and I want to bypass the password issue without removing my data. I tried with an app on my computer but it asked for me to pay and I’m kinda broke.

Are these dead pixels?

I use my iPod touch 4 at work to avoid screen time/ internet browsing. I turned it on this morning and saw this, are these a set of dead pixels? Will they spread or stay as is? It’s not bad but I don’t want them getting worse. Thanks in advance for the advice.

It's great, indeed a chapter 2! I already transferred it from my compact disc to my 2 iPod, to the touch and to the Classic

Hello

I have an old Ipod which my grandfather used and he forgot its password. Is there any way to reset it?

Why not take an old phone or a new Android phone that supports LDAC and make it an I pod touch

I like the old I pod touch, however doesn’t it make more sense to buy a new phone with a 3.5 mm jack to make into a stand alone device which supports LDAC, has a 3.5 mm jack and a expandable SD card slot.

Buy an iPod touch 5 for 60 SGD, or repair my iPod nano for 75 SGD?

The iPod touch 5 seems like a no-brainer, but I just like the small size and thinness and lightness of the Nano 7 (it feels more unique).

Currently, the Nano 7 has 50% of the digitiser spoilt; left side cant be touched.

Interesting observation: fresh install of a non-jailbroken iPhoneOS 3.1.3 has both spellings for Ukraine's capital

I got a bit carried away checking old IPA compatibility lol

https://preview.redd.it/m29db27ju0ih1.png?width=1280&format=png&auto=webp&s=3d1223653df10fcf7c8098aebc10e648adc44b66

I'm getting my first iPod Touch in a few days, so I started going through one of those huge IPA collections on Internet Archive trying to figure out what would actually run on it.

I made a tiny Python script to check compatibility... and somehow ended up making this lol

Basically, you select a folder full of IPA files, choose your iPod/iPhone/iPad + iOS version, and it gives you an approximate compatibility check for each app.

Just to be completely clear: I'm not a programmer and I made this with AI. It started as a super basic console script for my own use and I just kept adding stuff to it.

I'm sure there are already other tools out there that do similar things, but this one ended up fitting exactly what I needed. Maybe it'll fit someone else's needs too, so I thought I'd share it here :)

It's obviously not 100% accurate since it's based on static analysis and the real device is always the final test, but honestly it has already been really useful for me to go through my IPA collection and check what should work before I even have the device in my hands lol.

I put everything on GitHub if anyone wants to try it, mess with it or improve it:

github.com/sssantos172/ipainspector

Any feedback would be really appreciated, especially if you can compare the results with actual old iOS hardware!
