I have found some lovely etched vintage sherry glasses from WWII. I also have 3 adult children with spouses. Some drink some don’t. I would love to make a toast Christmas night to our children and make it a tradition. I have no idea what to serve. I know it’s only August but…I’m excited. What’s something yummy? Something I can count on to be a yearly tradition. It will only be one drink so no worries about strength. I am really looking forward to this. Btw I don’t drink. Used to drink beer as a kid. But am excited for the new tradition. Thanks for your kindness.

I went to a surgeon for a consult and he was very nice but said I had to have a specific test before insurance would pay for my surgery. He saw the lady that does appointments in the hallway and told her my name and she asked my birthday and what test I needed. There were other patients present. I felt like she should have taken me to her desk. The test is a body sensitive one. If you know what I mean. I’m old and that stuff bothers me. Is this a violation? I won’t do anything about it but I’m just curious.

Between the two of us our bill usually averages $70. We tip around $25-$30. We stack our dirty dishes. Put our trash in a pile. We do often ask for refills on our drinks. But we feel we just aren’t doing enough for those hard working young people. We are a single income family so we don’t eat out often but want to leave a good impression and make it a good interaction. I do have to ask for no tomatoes since I’m allergic and feel bad about that. Any suggestions?

EDIT: After many very helpful and nice responses we will continue to be friendly and tip like we have. We will NOT stack our dishes but will gather our silverware in a pile and our trash in a pile. You all have been GREAT!! Thank you so much. Can’t wait to dine out again. Good luck to you all!!

I want to buy the Little Giraffe Luxe Satin Trimmed Faux Fur Throw Blanket for my 4 year old granddaughter. She is attached to a “soft blanket” that is too small and searching for the softest blanket out there. It’s over $200 and I want to know if it’s really soft and washable. There is no info on website and we don’t have a Nordstrom close by. I’d really appreciate it from a loving grandma. ❤️

I had an anaphylactic scare with Echinacea about 8 days ago. It was from a cold sore product called Releev. First time user. Never have I ever had an allergic reaction except chemical based. I had Hydroxyzine so I was ok using that. I did go to urgent care and they prescribed me steroids but I didn’t take them since I’m diabetic. I’ve had tomato products 3 times since and every single time my throat and ears itch. Spaghetti, on a sandwich and salsa. Is this all in my head? I’m not allergic to any other foods at all. And I love spaghetti. Is this temporary? I Googled and asked Chapgpt but didn’t get answers. Any ideas. Thanks so much.

I have a cold sore and couldn’t find Abreva at Walgreens so I got this Releev. I have serious issues will allergies to marigolds and had I looked it up I would be ok. The Releev has Echinacea in it which is the same as sticking hay fever up your nose. I guess I’m allergic to the Echinacea. Before bed I took Benadryl because my throat was itchy I woke up completely unable to breathe. I was gasping for air (first time ever) luckily I had an expired epi-pen of my sons and used that. Within seconds I could breathe. I should have called 911 but didn’t. I followed with Benadryl every 3 hours. It was so scary. I also have a stuffy nose which I read can be normal with this type of allergy. I feel so sorry for those of you that have allergies to everyday foods and products. It was super scary. 😱

My granddaughter loves bath time. She also likes to draw on herself with markers EEK! So I thought some bathtub crayons would be fun. I have read so many bad reviews online so I’m asking you all. Are there any good bath crayons out there that aren’t impossible to get off the tub? Our tub is like plastic I guess. Maybe acrylic? I also don’t want them staining her. Any suggestions? Thank you soooo much.

I’m in eating therapy for an ED. I’m supposed to be eating a lot calories a day. My mom came over and the first thing she said was “You’re fat” I told her the last thing she should say to someone with an ED is fat. She laughed so I told her she was fat too. She’s not. But now I don’t wanna eat anything else. I haven’t eaten since she said this. I’m afraid I’ll get fat.

I have ARFID and I also have OCD. In my opinion my ocd is worse than my ED. It at lease causes me more anxiety. My my ED is so bad. I eat about 700 calories a day. I Have a dietician. And I’ve being seeing a therapist for this since 2021. But she does not want to work on my OCD. She only cares about my ED. My daughter is a therapist in my state. Her boss found me a highly rated OCD specialist. He agreed to see me. My current therapist thinks I should do what’s best for me. But AHA! I called insurance and they said I could see both of them as long as it’s not on the same day. I don’t know what to think. That’s a lot of therapy. But it’s better than inpatient. I won’t talk to my therapist until Friday I’m so scared she won’t see me with both therapist. Thank you for your input.
