Hi! I'm really struggling at the minute because I've recently bought an iPod nano generation 3 and I'd like to wipe it to add my own music to it, however every time I try to launch ITunes on my laptop it freezes and won't let me press either button at all. I've tried to reset the app multiple times, download it from different places ect. But it just won't open? I was wondering if anybody had any advice?. Thank you!!

my dad has had itunes for like 15 years now and has a large catalogue available on it. it's under his apple account.
in probably february my dad bought apple music for me on my phone (i did not have an apple music account nor did i have an itunes account). my dad has never paid for apple music until then. he only ever had his itunes account. when he bought apple music for me, all of his music from his itunes went onto my phone's apple music (under my apple id)
this should make sense because i guess the system just thought that my phone was his phone since he had itunes prior to setting up an apple music account. what's weird about it is that the apple music was registered with my information. he just bought it. we do have the apple family thing set up and he's the controller of it so maybe that has something to do with why it defaulted to this?
also, my dad said when he started paying for my apple music and when all his itunes stuff went onto my phone, he couldn't access it from his phone anymore. so his apple music library has nothing yet like i want and mine has all his stuff like he wants.
we assume that by creating my apple music account we accidentally changed the email associated with his account instead of creating a new account at all. that seems to be the only explanation of this.
we need to completely separate them as for we don't want to buy apple music for both of us. we need a way for him to have his itunes and me to create a new and separate apple music account even though (through the apple family thing) he's still paying for the subscription (?) is this possible? can we find a loophole?
I have about 20GB of offline music in iTunes library. If it's possible, I'd like to sync it with a music player app that also maintains my playlists and let's me sync it with my iTunes library on desktop every time when plugging in my Android phone. I don't want to use any streaming service.
Is this possible?
So I'll give you my whole story, I'm trying to make a media server of all my DVDs and I have some movies that I own on iTunes but not DVD so I was trying to remove the FairPlay off of those. I tried a Windows 7 Virtual Machine with iTunes 10.7 but I got error 0x80090302 because Apple turned off the servers for old versions then I tried downloading them on 12.6.5.3 and saving the authorization keys in the SC Info folder and uninstalling then installing 10.7 and trying to paste those keys into the files but that didn't work. Then I tried doing all of that but just on a modern windows version and it didn't work. Then I thought I found a way with like Android Studio Pixel 4 shenanigans where you utilize a break in googles old DRM software but that didn't work. I know that its very hard to crack FairPlay but I have a lot of movies on there that would suck to have to all rebuy on dvd.
I don’t remember my old Apple ID. I still have my email account though. My iPod was stolen and my MacBook no longer works. If there is a way I can contact support to get my old iTunes account back that would be wonderful. If not, how can I go about trying to find an indie band that likely doesn’t have much of a footprint online anymore? I remember song lyrics and song titles, not certain about the bands name but I think it might have been “The new tattoos”. The singer had a Southern accent, it was mostly acoustic guitars. The songs were a bit dark but had humor to them. The song titles I remember are “cocaine blues, “the plane crash song” and possibly a song called “Vicodin queen” but I might be misremembering that one and it could have been by a different band. I’ve been trying to find this band/these songs for 10 years. If anyone happens to remember this band please let me know. If anyone has any suggestions I’d love to hear it! Thank you
My whole collection is in MP3 format, from CDs I actually purchased. Since the latest 'iTunes' update and death of my iPhone I have switched to a Nothing phone and iBroadcast for my music collection. But I still don't want to stream music or require an internet connection so I am looking for an MP3 player to replaced the iPod/iTunes that can support a substantial music collection and sounds good too. All I can find on Amazon are these weirdly named brands and I have no idea if any of these MP3 players are any good. I saw some refurbished iPods but that seems like a sunk cost at this point. The Sony Walkman looks like an option but it's over $1000!?!?!
Does anyone have an MP3 player they are currently using and like? Are there options that might sync with iTunes?
