Updated to MacOS 26.7 beta today (8/18/2026) and now Apple Music won't recognize music library. Crapola, I signed out and back in, granted full access to computer, and tried some other fixed which I either couldn't figure out or failed. Are there dummy proofed ways to fix it for THIS beta?

Every time I try to figure out something on Apple Music - the app, not the streaming service - all I can find is information about the streaming service.

I would imagine this is just one of many reasons Apple has decided to make life miserable for everyone who chooses to stick to listening to music with local files and doesn't want to lose all the metadata like playback history, date added, play count, etc.

For some reason over the last several months I've been experiencing an issue where some of my iTunes matched songs do not show up in the iTunes store when you right click and select Show in iTunes Store. I guess it's not that big of a deal because the songs still show as matched, but it is annoying that it will happen with random songs that I match. Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this?

I really wish I never signed up for Apple Music.

So I deleted all the songs that I downloaded through Apple Music.

However now on my phone I have two libraries, one is a complete one but can only access all of it if you are connected to cellular or wifi. used to it would just give you the option to download directly. But I've downloaded all the ones it gave me an option for. I've signed in and out, deleted the app, updated cloud library but the other library(the one that doesn't have a connection)

Any hacks for getting them to download? yes I connected it manually with a cord.

I just redownloaded my iTunes purchases on a new windows laptop. I want to step away from iTunes and want my library playable on any platform I would like. Most of the music downloaded as m4a but some tracks and albums are still m4p. I thought apple didnt do drm protection any more. Can I download these albums as m4a or convert them to something else?

I have bought quite a few albums and singles over the years and whilst the artists are showing under “Purchased” in the iTunes app in my phone the actual songs are not available for download (and going into the artists just shows a blank page on my phone). I believe the albums are there in ITunes on my pc (and I have backups of everything) but would like to download on my phone. I have iTunes Match but have to use an old version of iTunes on my pc to rip CDs as Apple Music imported every music file on my pc ( I have multiple formats ) and I couldn’t work out how to stop this. Any ideas please?

The drive I had my music library stored to has died and recovery is prohibitively expensive. However, my entire library is loaded to my phone, though too big to back up to basic iCloud. Is there any way to retrieve my library from my phone (13 ProMax). I’m on a Windows PC using iTunes to manage my library.
If I have to redownload CDs and restore purchases, it’ll be tedious, but I can do it. I’m aware of other methods of acquiring music if it’s something corrupted or hard to find. But since I know the music is ON my phone, shouldn’t I be able to download it from my phone—even if through a third-party program?
Any help/suggestions appreciated!
