I skimmed through the Chinese translation of the novel and summarized Orihime and Ichigo's interaction on my tumblr and reddit account.

Ichigo enters the classroom after a chaotic morning being chased around by delinquents and the disciplinary committee.

When he sits down, a playful surprise attack hits him on the back.

He turns around standing there was someone he knew well. His old friend Orihime, who he had constantly been around during their middle school days. She was one of the few familiar faces after they started going to Karakura High School.

Orihime: "My, my, Kurosaki-kun, you haven't changed a bit."

Ichigo: "That line should be mine! Inoue…! What did you attack me for out of nowhere?!"

Orihime says teasingly (speaking about herself - I think): "Oh my, being in the same class as Inoue is truly wonderful~ Could this be considered a manifestation of our unique, unspoken bond?"

Rukia, nodding in agreement: "Yes, Inoue really does possess a unique sensibility."

Ichigo asks when Rukia and Orihime became close friends.

Rukia: "A lot of things happened~"

Orihime: "Setting that aside, Kurosaki-kun! How does this school feel? Even though it's only the first day, you already went on a massive sprint this morning before club activities even started!"

Ichigo sighs thinking about the chaotic morning, Orihime cheerfully continues "Yep, I saw you. It looked like you were running super happily."

Ichigo: "If you call that running happily, then either there's something wrong with your eyes, or a nerve snapped in your brain..."

Ichigo denies it, but Orihime doesn't buy it and says: "Is that so~? The Kurosaki-kun from last year always gave off a feeling like he was forcing himself to endure things, looking quite gloomy."

Ichigo doesn't reply. After being told this by Orihime, he thinks to himself that this school is indeed less boring than middle school.
