Bad News

Got alloted CSE (AI) in iiit sonepath but abhi haal hi me ye management ne jo bhang bhosda kiya hai . I am not going to take admission in it ..

Main Reason - Mere parents ko lgg rha hai ki ye management hrr e chiz ekdum border end pe bta rhi hai . Aur sochne ka time bhi nhi de rhi ( refering to SBIT campus me classes and Usse 25 km duur hostel wo bhi 2/4/6 seater jo ki first come first serve hi honge , aur kyuki meri reporting last day ha therefore mujhe to 6 seater hi milna hai )

Not confirmed about next year bhi permanent campus me shift honge ya nhi .

Posting this just for you guys opinion abt this ..

Looking for affordable PG/hostel options near IIIT Sonepat's current campus

Hi everyone,

My nephew is joining IIIT Sonepat this year, and we're currently looking for accommodation.

The hostel option being offered is around ₹16,000 per month, with AC/electricity charges extra, which is quite expensive for us. Since the college is still operating from its temporary campus, we're considering staying in a PG, private hostel, or shared flat instead.

Could current students/seniors please suggest some good and reasonably priced options?

Specifically, I'm looking for:

PGs/private hostels near the current IIIT Sonepat campus

Approximate monthly rent

Whether food/mess is included

Double/triple sharing options

Electricity/AC charges, if any

Distance and daily transportation to college

Any places that students generally recommend or avoid

Even if the PG is a little farther away, that's fine if there is convenient transportation.

I would really appreciate recommendations from current IIIT Sonepat students or anyone familiar with the area. 🙏

Thank you!

please need help regarding character certificate

so I got CSE in IIIT Sonepat in last round of CSAB... I quickly booked a ticket to Delhi as I live in South India, & it takes two days to reach here

Today while reviewing the required documents I noticed there was something called character certificate (never heard of this before) & I realised that I don't have that... contacted my classmates & most of them got the certificate with 12th Marksheet but the school didn't bother to give me one (it's a KV btw)

they said they will give it on Monday & I can collect it by then... but the thing is I am already in train with my entire family, so even if I book a flight I won't be able to attend the physical reporting on time

Mind you, I already paid the entire fees & have all the documents, but only the character certificate is missing because of my sh**ty school (ik I am also at fault for not checking everything beforehand)

so if anyone of you (or someone you know) has faced this problem then please kindly share your experience

edit: sorry if I failed to explain clearly... I don't have the certificate as of now & won't be able to get it for atleast 4 days (physical reporting will be over by then)

So just wanted to know whether this would cancel my seat or may i get an extension for just one missing document (I have scanned copy though)

sorry if am sounding desperate but I am just in panic because of this blunder

PS: just checked IIIT Una FAQs & they have mentioned that we will be given exactly 30 days after few payment to submit missing documents,.. is there anything like this for IIIT Sonepat too?

plss someone help

i paid josaa SAF 30k and then later in round 5, i paid 45k as the PAF. Then i also took part in CSAB and paid 5k as registration fee. it means total 80k. now if i deduct 10k (josaa+csab), then 70k should go to sonepat. But in their pdf, i fall under case 3(i got sonepat in csab) where its showing to pay 88k but according to calculations it should have been 93k. am i missing something here?

Any advice for fresher going for physical reporting?

If there's anything That's crucial information for a fresher to know but it's not trivial please give some advice

It could be regarding reporting or important stuff to bring or hostel or anything

Anything you wish you knew as a fresher before coming to the college
