Who is the worst and best professor at IIT BHU and why ?

predicted jee rank 11k-12k h and uspe iit bhu mein bioengineering milega toh iit bhu mein branch change option h ? and kitne baccho ka branch change hota h ???

I’m making this post so that current and former M.Tech students can share their honest placement experiences from their colleges. I think this would really help future aspirants make better decisions and get a realistic idea about the current situation in placements, internships, and research opportunities.

From what I’ve personally observed, M.Tech placements in many IITs are not as great as people outside assume. For example, in my college (IIT BHU), the highest package for an M.Tech student in the EE department was around 15 LPA, and Mechanical was also around the same range.

It would be really helpful if people could comment with:

• College name ,Department ,Placement scenario,do they allow Internship.

This thread could genuinely help a lot of students who are confused during counseling season.

Can someone plzz dm me the intern sheet of btech students of 2025-26 . This one mf frm my school he and his family are bragging he got a 2.5lpm stipend from a mnc . He is frm one of the lower branches and too poor communication skills . Moreover he got in with a 15kish rank with reservations. Idk much abt his cgpa but I highly doubt if this is true and their parents do brag this to every second person they meet.

Should I take IIT Dhanbad ECE IIT BHU mech and leave my college or nah?

I've always wanted to study aerospace

Even if I come for ECE I'll go for navigation and communication related stuff about rockets and missiles

Might apply these things for balancing the speed and movement of F1 cars

I don't care much about jobs and packages

If I go for mech I'll have to work harder but we know IIT bhu is better than IIT Dhanbad so I am confused what should I prioritise

After btech I am planning for MS abroad so I need to decide accordingly please help

Maybe a controversial observation, but it genuinely feels like the people still seriously pursuing research/PhDs are concentrated in:

- biotech/biomed/bioinformatics,

- materials science/nanotech,

- chemistry/physics/math,

- and AI/ML/computer science.

Meanwhile, a lot of traditional/core engineering fields seem to have a shrinking research crowd among students.

I rarely see people excited about long-term research careers in engineering. Most people seem to pivot toward consulting, software, analytics, management, or government jobs instead.

It's true that “old” engineering fields are still massively important in the real world, right?

So why does research interest feel disproportionately low there compared to biotech/materials/AI?

Is it mainly:

- lower funding?

- fewer visible breakthroughs?

- slower publication cycles?

- weaker salaries?

- less hype?

- or because the problems are now seen as “solved” even though they clearly aren’t?

Curious whether other people here have noticed the same trend.

I hv scored 99.57 percentile and I'm obc

But I fked up my adv scoring around 100 marks

I was thinking of joing nit Trichy eee but my friend is suggesting me to try for lower branches in top iits like ceramic in bhu and biosciene in Guwahati or mec h at bhilai

Is iit tag that important that I leave top iits' top branch for a lower iits' lower branch?

I applied to several places based on my eligibility and rank (GATE XL: Score 508 AIR 18xx ). I did my B. Tech in Biotechnology in a Tier 2 pvt college.

I decided not to do Biotech again and wanted to pursue something more niche and related to my interests.

I got (IIT ISM) Dhanbad M. Tech Environmental Science and Eng in 2nd round.
Based on my score i will get
IIT BHU - M. Tech Medical Devices.
IIT Hyderabad - M. Tech Climate Change

I also attended an interview for IIT Guwahati M. Tech Rural Tech. (doubtful i will get it tho)

My goal after M. Tech is to get placed in a non lab kinda role. mostly consulting or management.

Please help and give an outlook on these.

I am on the border of 8+ (consider 8.1). Would I face any difficulty in shortlisting??

Bhai kya hi bh*sdiwala prof hai yeh r*ndwa saala. MC ne Operating Systems me itni gandi grading kari hai ki ache padhne waale bhi just barely pass hue hein. Upar se almost 20 students ko sidha F diya hai. Pata nahi g@ndu kis janam ki dushmani humse nikal raha hai. Bhadwe ko pata nhi kis baat ka itna ego aur ghamand hai, bina kisi reason ke poore batch ki gaand maar diya. Saala nashedi g@ndu bas bhadwai hi karna jaanta hai, dhang se padhana toh aata hai nahi.

Aur itna hi nahi, bhadwe ne humare seniors final year CSE walon ka toh sabka B.Tech hi fail karwa diya, kyunki MC ne sahi time pe seniors ka kuch industrial training ka grade submit hi nahi kiya. CSE seniors me sabka hi B.Tech Failed dikha rha. Jabardasti ki g@ndmasti chadrhi hai chakke ko.

Ab tum log hi batao, iss baat pe iss madarch*d ko gaali na dein toh kya karein?

I am someone from 2022 batch and college is over finally , results are out today and we all are finally free from this....

All of us 22 batch people faced many things in this college, we saw great changes in college during our time, man I never expected we'll get ACs in our LTs and I know the current and upcoming batches will find it hard to imagine how people have studied in those classes without ACs.

I already see the -1 batch not believing that there was time without any barricading in front of rajputana or a time when trical roof was open

We came at the time of covid , with such a small first semester , and I remember in the first sem when someone first told me about chat gpt in a tronics lab. and now we are again at a time when career seems so uncertain due to this ai sh*t n all.

learnt a lot of things during this college (not academic) about life , people and handling tough situations.

I was never in awe of this city despite of so much hype on instagram, this city isn't too bad but didn't really find it life changing or anything like that, good wishes to anyone who found peace her as they say

If I could go back I might not change anything at all that I did in college because without that I wouldn't be the same person as I am today

My priority - good blend of OP placements plus college life(I can compromise a bit on college life but not on placements as I have to earn big as I got railed in jee adv so there would atleast be some respect for me in my home 😭😭😭).
