This is a two piece grunge band that was blossomed out of a ton of use of this substance. It’s just a 15 min ep that was intended to be a whole album called xylem and phloem. I hope you enjoy!
been tracking everything DIY in a bedroom setup and honestly not super sure where we land genre-wise.
we just dropped a track called "without u" (band is ok bouquet). it’s got loud guitars, super raw production, and a lot of energy, but the melodies are definitely a bit more indie.
curious what you guys think, does this count as garage rock or is it strictly indie?
Check it out if you’d like! Out on all platforms.
Ive played in bands in my college town for 16 years and toured regionally. Theres a robust scene here. In my experience some of my favorite bands have been ones not really known outside of their own local scene. Id like you to send me your favorite bands from your city or region. What am I missing that I would never have heard about otherwise.
Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a project that has consumed my life for a long time. I’ve been writing a novel, and while building its universe, I composed the entire soundtrack to go with it.
Under the name Jonn Reed, I don't see this as just making music — I see it as making evidence for the story.
If you like heavy guitars, raw atmosphere, and concept-driven rock, I’d love for you to give it a listen.
Where to start: Begin with "Hello Seattle", and if you’re hooked, stay for "The Beat".
You are not just a listener here; you are a witness to the story.

Would love to hear your honest thoughts on the production, the atmosphere, and the vibe. Thanks for listening!
Hi, I wrote this song called "Come Back in Silence" and I'm curious what genre you'd actually put this in. Indie rock? Alternative? Grunge? Bedroom Pop? Something else?
From top to bottom, this goes to show how much undiscovered talent is out there!
“The Light of Your Love” is a seven-track album built around gentle rhythms, ambient textures, and emotionally rich soundscapes. Each song unfolds with patience and depth, inviting the listener into a space of reflection, longing, and quiet transcendence. With soft synths, layered harmonies, and a cinematic sense of stillness. TARSIK offers a sonic meditation on love, memory, and inner light.
A studio clip from Japanese indie band Syzygy.
The song is called “Yellow sky.”
I really like the relaxed atmosphere of this performance.
The song tells the story of a little girl, alone in the winter cold, whose dreams rise above the harshness surrounding her. Rather than relying on fleeting flames, she draws strength from glowing sparks of hope and the light within her heart. These gentle illuminations guide her through the darkness, like stars leading the way toward warmth and belonging. Though the world may seem indifferent, she remains resilient. In the end, her longing for love and connection is fulfilled—not as tragedy, but as the triumph of belief and perseverance. Her journey lives on as a quiet reminder that even in the coldest moments, the light we carry inside can lead us to the joy we've always imagined.
Im a gen x music nerd who grew up digging through record shop crates, reading alternative music magazines and free papers, listening to college radio ( shout out to album 88 in Atlanta) me and my friends were always trying to find the most obscure bands in an effort to be more cool and elite within the scene. I know there
s alot of bands i either forgot about, never heard of, or didn't appreciate at the time. Give me your favorite regional, obscure or genre bending groups that didn't get lauded in the "Alternative " boom. Im thinking the period about 1988 to 1994
I lived in Atlanta then and had family in Athens so the band that immediately comes to mind in this category is
The Flat Duo Jets, particularly the album Wild, Wild Love
I was obsessed with this album as a 17 or old nerd and it still holds up
For folks in the Southern Colorado area, playing release parties on Fri 8/7 at What's Left Records (Colo Sprgs, CO) and Sat 8/15 at Trinidad Lounge (Trinidad, CO).
Too much treble? Too shrill? Or is it rough and aggressive in an interesting way? I feel like I'm getting feedback from friends that are a bit split down the middle on this one. Curious to broaden my survey sample size. I also have stems in a dropbox ready to share if anyone is interested in accepting a nominal fee to do a better more polished mix/master than i can
