Got my fans set, and ambient temp with FAE by way of an adjustable in-line exhaust fan is staying at 72° with it sealed up. Heating pad hanging, so if I need heat the circulatory fan will blow against it to disperse the heat.

It's overkill, I know. This just shows my desperation to get this started right. It's better to have it and not need it for me than the other way around. Now i can get to inoculation! Yay!

So i may be the few that do more than grow and actually do microsccopy w spores. I was trying to figure out where the bacteria was coming from. Well i believe its one of these spore fondlers that i found creaping on my seed. Another reason to keep things aseptic as poss. Thot its just mold well these stunt mycelium just as easily if not easier than mold. Keep pushing... Godspeed....

Hi fellaz I started with a few batches and grew too much. Got lucky I guess. What to do with these surpluses?

To maintain temp in my "clean room" tent for the cabinet, I've draped a heating mat over the top bar. A small hanging Vivosun fan will also hang and disperse heat from the mat, while an adjustable inline fan will act as an exhaust fan sitting on the top port. Can wait to test it out. Fans arrive tomorrow, and then I can finally get things rolling!

Looks like some of these have broken their veil, are they ready to harvest? Not sure since these were labeled as "enigma" LCs when clearly they're something else. What should I do?

i split a jar that was too full into two jars....I think the full jar was too full and was being super slow, and i assume its because it didnt have enough room to breathe. This one took off and is ready, but the other has about another week i think.
should i S2B this one in a smaller tub? or stick it in the fridge and wait for the other half? Think its ok just to leave out w the jar cracked? Mix both half jars into a gallon ziplock to increase colonization?

Came back pleased to see these had taken off but there seemed to be a lot of moisture in the bag compared to the past few days and I noticed two spots that are greenish? I’m also concerned because there are mushrooms growing on top of what looks to be almost dead ones? Should I harvest now to avoid the risk? This is my first attempt and I’m so close to having these done, would hate to lose the batch and block now. Please help!

This is day 15 with AIO bag of happy hillbilly I’ve left closed until today. They are very fuzzy and firm but caps are starting to flatten. They’re stumpy but I think I’m looking at success. I went to let them bang but worried about aborts and contamination starting. What do you think? Do I close it back up? I missed the window to FAE I think judging by the fuzz don’t think they’ll grow much more

I just harvested my first mushroom that I grew today and I don't have many people to tell so I figured I'd post it here.

For my first time I decided to use a grow bag because I was scared of contaminating the substrate, but next time I'll do my own tub. I injected about 3cc of GT liquid culture into the two pound northspore grow bag.
After about 6 weeks I did a shake and break at what I believe is around 40% mycelial growth. I went on a trip and got back a week later and saw yellow pooling liquid at the bottom, and I was quite concerned it was contaminated. I decided to slightly pull the cake up inside the bag and rest it on a rack that allowed the cake to sit slightly above the pooling water to avoid wet rot. I saw basically no growth and thought that it was stalled, but I decided to leave it sitting just in case. 7 days later I checked back up on the bag and saw pins and I was so exited. I introduced the cake to fresh air and monitored humidity, and after 9 days I just harvested my first fruit. I'm super exited about everything it's really cool seeing the work pay off. Any advice on what you guys would have done differently is much appreciated.

Hi Folks, just a small but important question 🤔 see when our Golden teachers & other shrooms dry out, do they lose potency, surely not, surely there is still a good bit of strength in them 🤷 just wanna make sure n be on the careful side when dosing 🍄💫🤪

Originally, I had thought that the tiny finger-like structures, all over the place, were primordia. I also assumed that the amorphous bumps that have started popping up, the biggest of which I've circled in red, were simply a result of condensed water dripping from the lid. Now, I'm starting to think that the finger-like structures are just the mycellium hyphae, and that the bumps are the primordia?

This is one of the two tubs I just recently put into fruiting conditions. I put another into fruiting a week ago, but it had very few of the tiny finger-like structures that I saw. It was comprised mostly of the big amphorous bumps, but still has no pinning going on...that I'm able to identify. In fact, it's got what looks like overlay.
