When choosing a book, what matters more: the title or the cover?

Hello! We’re InnospaceOne, an e-reader brand.

When I’m choosing a new book, I tend to look at the title first, but sometimes a cover catches my eye and makes me curious about the book. When you choose a book, which influences you more, the title or the cover?

The title can give you an idea of what the book is about or what kind of atmosphere it has. If a title catches my interest right away, I usually end up looking up the synopsis too.

On the other hand, the cover can shape your first impression of a book just through its colors, illustrations, or design. I’m sure many people have picked up a book at a bookstore simply because the cover caught their eye.

Of course, many of us ultimately decide after checking the synopsis, author, or reviews, but I think what first gets us interested in a book can be different for everyone.

Which one are you?

  1. I look at the title first
  2. I look at the cover design first
  3. Both are important
  4. The synopsis, author, or reviews matter more than the title or cover

If you’ve ever picked up a book because of its title or cover and ended up really enjoying it, please share it in the comments!

Novel or movie spoilers — do you still finish them if you know the ending? 🤔

Hi everyone! We're InnospaceOne, an e-reader brand.

Have you ever been reading a novel or watching a movie and accidentally had the ending or a major plot twist spoiled?

Some people say knowing the ending takes away the fun, while others feel that it's still enjoyable to see how the story gets there, even when they already know what happens.

I recently got spoiled on something related to Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which was a little disappointing 😂

I feel like opinions are probably even more divided when it comes to mysteries or thrillers, where twists are a big part of the experience.

Do you still finish a story even if you already know the ending?

🙈 No — knowing the ending makes it less interesting for me.
📖 Yes — I still want to see how the story gets there.

If you've ever enjoyed a novel or movie even after knowing the ending, let us know in the comments! I'd love some recommendations.
