When I’m choosing a new book, I tend to look at the title first, but sometimes a cover catches my eye and makes me curious about the book. When you choose a book, which influences you more, the title or the cover?

The title can give you an idea of what the book is about or what kind of atmosphere it has. If a title catches my interest right away, I usually end up looking up the synopsis too.

On the other hand, the cover can shape your first impression of a book just through its colors, illustrations, or design. I’m sure many people have picked up a book at a bookstore simply because the cover caught their eye.

Of course, many of us ultimately decide after checking the synopsis, author, or reviews, but I think what first gets us interested in a book can be different for everyone.

Here are 5 things worth checking before choosing your first e-reader. 

1. Screen Size 
A 6-inch e-reader is a great option if portability is your priority, while a 7-inch model gives you a little more screen space for reading. Think about where you'll be doing most of your reading before choosing. 

2. Black & White vs. Color

"Why are E Ink displays considered more comfortable for reading?" 

Unlike LCD or OLED screens, E Ink displays reflect ambient light instead of emitting bright light directly from the screen, creating a reading experience that's closer to paper. 

Here are some of the key differences between E Ink and traditional displays:
