I started playing this game 3-4 months ago with the intention of being f2p and just building characters I liked. After a few weeks I thought “well, I’m building my FwB characters up anyways so might as well buy the faction pass, hell I’ll spring for the deluxe so I can get a leg up on the other players that are just starting like me”. Then I decided to buy a couple piggy banks cause “eh it’s only a dollar or 3 and that special do will get my main 5 up to max lvl for now”. Then there was a couple events I thought would be more useful if I dropped $10 or so on.
Throughout all of this I’m reading through this sub and its guides to make sure I’m really squeezing all the clue out of my dollars spent, and investing in “meta” characters. But one day I see ppl posting about a flash sale of “45k gems for $45” and I open the app and can’t resist. Thats soooo many gems the value per dollar is crazy. The whole time after I’m throwing maybe 2k gems at every somewhat decent event. But every once in a while I hear whispers of some magical “wish event”. I had no idea what that meant but I knew it was one of the better ones cause every few days someone would bring them up. And holy hell, now I get it. I had maybe 32k gems still when the event started, they’re all gone. I bought the deluxe event pass too. My accounts power went 4x according to the alliance war page. And now I’m kicking myself for spending any money or gems in any event other than this one. No other event I’ve seen compares. I tallied up the money that I’ve spent on this game since I started and I was honestly embarrassed with myself. I’m not someone who gambles regularly so I didn’t really think I’d get sucked into paying so much for a freemium mobile game. But I did. And now I realize a lot of the things I paid for weren’t worth it at all.
So yea, I’m not dropping any more money on this game. I’ll save my gems up until the next wish event. Maybe I’ll buy the event pass to make my gems extra worth it. But I can’t even consider spending money on the regular deals this game offers anymore.
Thanks btw if you read this wall of text. I mostly just wanted to get my thoughts out cause like I said I’m feeling pretty lame having spent so much on some mobile game, thinking I’m being smart, then realizing I was being suckered into crummy deals.

They scammed us, I was F2P until i bought the event pass and was 3 away from completing trophy road. they erased our progress and gave us a practically useless compensation.

The only way for them to know we’re unhappy is to speak up

So much confusion on every social platform about currency reset and deal resets every single wish event. Some dude gets like 4 currency refreshes and other people only get one. There needs to be clarity on this as that literally results in a double or even triple event value despite players spending the same amount of currency. It’s ridiculous and not enough people talk about. I have to pray for good deal refresh rng apparently?
