Seriously need help
So , for some pretext , i am 10th grader rn, and well , last year , the coaching platform affiliated with our school introduced us to nmtc ( national mathematics talent contest). I wanted to register but it felt too advanced for my level ( i only knew 9th level maths back then) . Our coaching institute gave everyone in the batch a reference book for this exam . I saw the questions and realized I could solve most of them , and so i naturally got an interest towards math.
When I checked the olympiads for mathematics, i thought ioqm was the same as nmtc for a very long time , (till day before yesterday) . But, i realized that nmtc doesn't qualify you for rmo or inmo. So , i just began my preparation for ioqm . I prepared number theory thru vedantu's online classes ( on yt ) , and I am seeing online lectures on various topics .
Mind you, my mathematics base is very strong , i have prepared few 11th topics like pnc, sequence and series etc. till jee mains level , and also completed my entire 10th syllabus ( maths ) in the holidays b/w 9th and 10th.
So, as it is my first time writing ioqm, I would like to ask my seniors who have written this exam :-
When should I take mock tests? Should I take after my entire portion is done or after a specific topic is done ?
Where do i prepare geometry from ? I have searched throughout yt for good lectures, but I just find 2 or 3 geometry lectures ( since geometry is a very vast subject ).
I am currently doing ioqm pyqs from the vedantu ioqm book , and I am doing 10 questions in about 2 hrs , is this a good time or should I improve ?
If I put in a lot of hardwork ( which i obviously will) , can I qualify for rmo over the kids who have written ioqm alr ( in 9th) and are in a curated olympiad course?( The cutoff in my state is 43)
5)Please give your honest opinion , i am open to criticism
