What do I do?

I worked at Jersey Mike’s for years! I used to live in Myrtle Beach and I was assistant manager for them. During my years of being assistant with them, my owner operators never sent me in about 10 other people to Jersey to do our phases…

I know I’m in New Jersey Mike’s at a new location. I am a crew member, but my boss has made it clear that she wants to phase me and she has been giving me the opening shifts with a solid 40 hours a week.

I’ve only been at the New Jersey Mike’s for a week now and my boss has already had me start training people to do stuff correctly.

I am nine weeks pregnant and I want to be able to make more money, but I don’t know how to bring it up to her that I feel like I’m doing too much for too little of my pay…

I even just conducted a job interview the other day for her. She asks for my input on everything. I also had to show my boss how to print out an hourly sales report…

My GM has never been to Jersey to be phased either. I feel as though I am equal to her…

Why did you apply to Jersey Mike’s Subs, and how did it work out?

I’m curious about other people’s experiences.

What made you apply to Jersey Mike’s Subs?
Are you still working there?
If not, what happened?

For me I applied because I needed a job to help pay for the certifications I needed for the another jobs I really wanted. I already knew fast food wasn’t something I wanted to do long-term, especially during busy rushes.

After about three paychecks, I had saved enough money to pay for my certification courses and exams. The same day I submitted my application for my last certification was also the last day I was scheduled to work. After that I never got another shift.

One thing I still remember is talking one of my coworkers on the first day of orientation We were standing at the bus stop in the middle of winter around -30 I told him to stay focused because having a car is importantI said that whether it’s this job or another job, it’s important to save money and work toward buying a car. I also told him that this job didn’t look like a long-term job to me. Ironically his employment ended before mine.

I wasn’t surprised by how things turned out I understand that managers have to make decisions based on the business, like controlling labor costs and deciding who gets the available hours. I don’t have any hard feelings I had already achieved the goal I had when I accepted the job.

I’d like to hear your story.

What do you really want from a fast food resturant?

Hey guys! I hope everyone is doing well. To get to it: what do you, as a consumer, really want from a fast-food restaurant? More diverse menu? Better service? More digital finesse, as in mobile apps and social media interactions? Let me know. (ps. feel free to mention other things than the ones i've listed)

Cheese on no-cheese subs

Do y’all ask about cheese on tuna/chicken salad/BLTs? I’m pretty sure we’re not supposed to since it costs extra but I always find it annoying when they ask for cheese after I’ve already put all the toppings on 🥲 What about y’all?

Chick-fil-A Has Officially Been Dethroned: Jersey Mike’s Takes the #1 Spot in the 2026 Customer Satisfaction Index

The brand-new 2026 American Customer Satisfaction Index Restaurant Study just dropped, and Jersey Mike's has officially stolen the crown, ending their historic 11-year streak at the top.

Chick-fil-A missed the top spot by a single point. The study crunches thousands of consumer surveys focusing on menu variety, freshness, value, and rapid quality expansion.

While the chicken drive-thrus are perpetually wrapped around the block causing massive traffic jams, people are realizing they can walk into a sub shop, get premium quality ingredients sliced right in front of them, and leave in minutes. It completely changes the roadmap for quick-service dining.

Have you completely ditched the chicken line for fresher options in your city, or is Jersey Mike's overrated?

Someone stole my bank information

So a bit of backstory I wake up yesterday morning with a missed call and a text message from my bank that says there’s a fraud alert from Jersey Mike’s, I’m like ok there’s going to be a small charge and I can dispute it. Well unbeknownst to me some BIG BACK decided to steal my banking information and try to spend over $2000 at Jersey Mike’s jokes on them I’m broke!

Pepperoni sub

How many slices of pepperoni would you guys put on a regular sub with just pepperoni and provolone? I’ve asked my bosses and they say just 10, I have a customer who comes in once a week arguing & yelling at me that I need to be putting 16 slices on there but doesn’t wanna pay extra.
