My Go-To as an employee

I get it looks pretty messy but it’s such a good flavor profile okok

So I do:
- 2 slices prov
- 2 slices swiss
- 3 turkey
- 3 roast beef
- 4 pepp

Then I put it on the grill along with all the veggies (onions, bell peppers, jala, banana peppers)

After it’s all done cooking I put some chipotle mayo, cpr, and honey mustard. Maybe bacon if im feeling it
Just to feel something during my shift :3

Don't know if it's true.

Supposedly Sunday 5/24 is Triple points day.

I know they changed the marketing approach and so on.

But that's what I've seen with my ads...

Edit:

My bad it's Sunday 5/24

It was on the JM IG story earlier...

NHL Picks Game

For those of you who don't follow the NHL (WHY? It's the best sport!), please note there will be one game every night for at least the next 8 nights. The Avs and Golden Knights start their best of 7 series tonight while the Hurricanes and Canadians start tomorrow. Each series will be played every other night until a team wins 4 games so they could go longer but as long as you play every day, your guaranteed at least another 16 show points.

Go Avs! Go Canes!

Any codes??

Does anyone maybe have a code or 2?? My birthday is next month, and I know I at least need to have purchased a sub within a year to be eligible for a free one when the time comes.

Offer on app

There is a deal / offer on my app regularly for a Regular #2 with chips and a drink for $10.99.

But I don’t eat ham or cappacuolo.

Can I write in the comments to remove all meat and add veggies manually in the app? Basically I want to turn the #2 into a veggie.

If I get a regular veggie sub, it is more expensive than $10.99 (with chips and a drink).

I don’t understand why a #2 is a better deal than a regular veggie sub.

Updated slicing guide? (Or is this still accurate?)

Have an old picture on my phone that shows a giant 13 with the below portions

Ingredient Count Weight
Provolone Cheese 5 2.00
Boiled Ham 5 2.95
Prosciuttini 7 2.80
Cappacuolo 5 1.25
Salami 6 1.10
Pepperoni 8 0.75

Does this still seem accurate or have counts/weights been changed?

The bacon question.

So every time I order the club supreme, the person making it asks me if I want bacon. Of course, I want bacon--that's why I ordered it. So what's the deal? Why not ask me if I want turkey or some other ingredient? tbh -- it feels predatory... not sure why, maybe because if i say no, then I still get charged for the sandwich WITH bacon...

Would this be considered extra meat for a #8?

This was my first time requesting extra meat for my usual Regular #8 Club Sub. It’s been a while since I’ve ordered, but I’m just curious as it doesn’t strike me as much more than usual.

Jersey Mike's Franchise application not getting traction at all. Can anyone help?

Hi, I have submitted the site and my financial information online from the corp site but I am not getting any traction. Also, I have called the franchise phone line but no one answers or calls back. Is there any way I can get hold of the sales?

Update: I just started calling the Jersey Mike's Sub owners around my area. I was told that I should already be involved with Jersey Mike's Sub in some manner in order to get into the franchise or there is no chance. Is this true?

A follow up to my “management” post

This is in regard to my other post, I’m actually grateful for the amount of people it had reached. Im very big on transparency and while I was typing all of this out it made me realize that, I can write an essay😅. It shouldn’t have to be like that. If anyone has any advice please let me know. I feel like my time is limited at my job now, but luckily for me I have receipts and others that bear witness. I feel like that store is crumbling down, and I hope it can be saved before it’s too late

Labor question

I’ve been told that having a salaried person on the open helps to save on labor because we’re not getting any business at that time. Is this true?

Jersey Mike's Antisemitic Remarks

During a visit to Jersey Mikes in Plano, Texas (on Coit road), my fiancée overheard the general manager make openly antisemitic remarks, including saying he “hates all Jews” and later telling a coworker he “hates 2%” of them after learning they had Jewish ancestry.

This was reported this directly to the owner, who acknowledged the behavior was unacceptable and said action would be taken. Weeks later, we see the same individual still appears to be working in that leadership role.

Why would th owner not fire the GM immediately?! I'm not Jewish myself, but am I wrong to be absolutely disgusted that the GM is leading teens/young adults?

Management

***Shift Leader btw***
*I apologize for the typos, I was mentally breaking down when I was typing this*

So for starters im writing on a separate account for privacy reasons. I would like to say that I genuinely love my Coworkers, and I’ve been working at Jersey Mike’s for over a Year and a half. My former manager had stepped down due to stress and pretty much being bullied by his boss. We had another worker that was part time, but was a manager in the past. I enjoyed working with him as well, until recently. They basically swapped places and he became the new manager. I was happy just for the fact that I wouldn’t have had a stranger as my manager. However, there’s been plenty of things that has made it almost insufferable to work there now. If im being honest, the new manager was a great worker. But now that he became the manager he throws everything on everyone else. He leaves two people numerous times during lunch rushes and goes in the back or just goes in the bathroom for 45+ minutes (at least 2 times per shift)
He understaffed us on days that we need help. I know most jersey Mike’s has 4+ people for lunch shifts, be we can be one person worker a 2 person job (it is was it is) He complains about labor but takes a few days off, and now that the labor is high (mainly during his days off) he’s now cutting everyone’s hours, but is still taking those days off. Granted everyone deserves days off but as a manager you have to step up and at least have a game plan. Not to mention, it’s annoying having to work with someone that puts a schedule out last minute, and I mean LAST minute, I received my schedule not even an hour ago, and gave me 4 hours of a notice for my shift today.
Not to mention, he says things about women (customers) almost every single day and it makes me uncomfortable. I just needed to vent without being too specific, if you got this far with reading, Thank you💛

**Also, we’ve received numerous comment cards/reviews about how the workers always look stressed out and that there seems to be a lack of management 🥲 I do enjoy working here but something has to give.
