With all the respect in the world, as you are one of the marvelous creators in this industry:

It's ridiculous what you are doing man.

No update in more than 7 months. What the F for you start a "developer log" if you are gonna post 2 "updates" in a year?

I'm very sure you are incredibly busy doing a million things, I wouldn't dare to question that. Your work has been impeccable so far. All Bioshocks are masterpieces as well as SWAT 4 and the expansion. I have no doubt you are putting blood and sweat into this project and I want to believe it will be something new, big and blasting.

I may be a perfectionist too, it probably takes me forever to do / make / build anything. But even I come to the point sometimes of saying "ok, I need to cut it here, I need to sacrifice this (which would be amazing to have) for a greater good".

It might be as well the publisher, business strategies, marketing, blabla. I don't know. But come on, guys, I don't think I have to explain it's going to be 20 from Bioshock 1 and if someone was 20 by that time, now it is 40. And not everyone was 20 exactly...
As you are well aware of, there are many upcoming Bioshock clones because none of you is bringing anything to the table.

I mean, it's totally up to you, of course. But I think that games require gamers. And a little sympathy would be appreciated.

The game's budget has to be $140M–$250M by now.

Ok so,

40-60 average staff × 10-13 years × $180k-$240k/year = roughly $72M–$187M payroll burn

Outsourcing / QA / tools / platform / audio / cinematics = $20M–$50M

Marketing / launch / publisher support = $30M-$70M

So somewhere between $140M–$250M

For reference

Immortals of Aveum ~$125M total: ~$85M dev + ~$40M marketing/distribution

BioShock Infinite - Analysts estimated ~$100M dev + ~$100M marketing (Kenny boy said it wasn't true)

Edit: Don't take this too seriously, it's a discussion starter tbh, not treated as fact. Ken called me and was very angry with me. He said it has only cost them a few Lego sets.
