New to Kalyan-Dombivli — Where do you go for breakfast? Looking for hidden gems!

Hey everyone!

I recently moved to the Kalyan-Dombivli area and I'm on a mission to explore the local food scene — starting with breakfast, which I firmly believe is the most important meal of the day.

I'm not looking for the big names or the obvious spots. I want the **hidden gems** — the small dhabas, the old family-run joints, the roadside stalls that regulars swear by but tourists never find.

Whether it's a place famous for piping hot poha, crispy misal, fluffy idlis, or something I've never even heard of — I want to know about it!

**If you have a recommendation, please share:**

- Location / area (landmark if possible)

- What it's famous for

- Timing (breakfast joints disappear fast!)

- Any ordering tips?

Would love to build a solid breakfast map of this area. Drop your favourites below — the more local and lesser-known, the better!

Thanks in advance 🙏

Youth proved the point of CJI surya kant.

Reading comments like “Finally, someone has spoken,” “Youth revolution,” and “Someone against the system” makes me wonder, did people even read the CJP manifesto?

There is literally nothing in it for common citizens or the youth. Most of the demands seem designed to benefit Rahul Gandhi and Kejriwal politically. Where are the points about corruption, unemployment, youth empowerment, economic growth, or development? Not a single serious mention.

People are calling it a revolution without even questioning what the manifesto actually offers.

This is what CJI surya kant said "parasites of society who attack the system" and that "there are youngsters like cockroaches, who don't get any employment and become media, social media and RTI activists who attack the system"

We proved the point.

Need property advice

Hey I am confused between Lodha Crown and Kohinoor Eden. Its for investment purpose and would like to have a place where rent is higher.

Could you please help me understand which of the two properties is well connected and has decent surroundings?

I am leaning towards Kohinoor since I liked the flats better.

I am yet to visit.

Wtf Kala talao is so dirty?

Bottles and dead fish all over the lake. Authorities are only focused on starting carnival games and food stalls and massage centres which fetch them money. But why the waters are neglected. Felt pathetic looking at the condition of the water and the dirty smell of the dead fish.

How do Kalyankar's socialize?

Been sitting on this thought for a while. Needed to say it.

**Adult social life is slowly becoming a desert.**

Not because people are unfriendly. But because the options are genuinely broken.

Cafes?

Great for first dates or laptop warriors. Walking up to a random person and going "hey let's be friends" sounds insane. Nobody does it.

Gardens?

Approaching strangers here as an adult = instant creep energy. Hard pass.

Classes?

Actually not a bad idea — but what does this city even offer? Zumba, some classical music class, a random art workshop that runs 2 weeks and vanishes. Not exactly a community builder.

Board game nights?

Love the concept. But finding that intersection of *people who want to socialize + also enjoy board games* is its own puzzle.

So what's left? Nothing systematic. And that's the real problem.

Somewhere between jobs, responsibilities, and adult life — making new friends became this weird, awkward thing nobody talks about. But the monotony is real. The isolation is real. The "same 4 people at every gathering" is real.

What if we actually built something?

Not an app. Not a business. Just a genuine community of people who want to *do things* — dinners, treks, drives, potlucks, chai meetups. No agenda. Just people who get that adult friendships need to be intentional now.

Drop a comment or DM if this hits. Even a 👍 helps.

Because we all deserve more than just existing on autopilot.

Dombivli To Colaba

Hello everyone! My brother recently got an engineering job in Colaba and we live in Dombivli. We’re trying to figure out the most practical daily commute route.

Current idea is:

Dombivli → CSMT by local → Aqua Line Metro from CSMT to Cuffe Parade → taxi/bus to office.

Has anyone here done a similar commute recently?

How reliable is the Aqua Line during office hours?

How long does the interchange at CSMT actually take in real life?

Any smarter/faster route suggestions would help a lot.

Office timings are normal daytime office hours.

Any advice will be really helpful!
