Any women around Kandy if this is ur delivery partner be careful

My mother had a terrible encounter with this asshole - shouting at her in the middle of the night using bad words and filth - this idiot has gone down from the original location and came up to my mom barking at her for not screaming at night to come up to the location - instead using words like vesi and shit - this bitch was gone by the time and I saw my mom crying

I had no such encounter before

I take accountability on my side because i couldn't pick up the calls because i was in the bathroom and asked my mom to get it but what's with pick me drivers these days and being unable to find the location - I usually tip drivers because my dad used to be a rider when we were struggling

I know most of the fault is mine, but it exposed an asshole so I'm posting it here

I put a complaint on PickMe too

What to do as a 21 Y/O visiting Kandy for a few days?

Hey guys, I'm a 21M from Colombo, planning on visiting kandy for a few days (maybe 2 nights) with a couple of friends, and I was wondering what i can do over there.
Planning on staying right at the city center.
What places can I visit? And I where can we properly socialize with similar aged Kandyans? Any ideas on what kinda things to do or events to look out for? Planning on going sometime in july/ early august the latest. Give me all the details whether it be cafes/social clubs/events/ nightlife or even good camping, hiking spots, lesser known local attractions near the city.

Also does anyone know a reliable place to rent out some bikes or scooters or a car as a local without any major hassle? (even electric bicycles are alright)

A side ques: what do the uni students of the several local unis in the area do for fun? any social events from these unis coming up (pera/sliit etc) in July /August?

Feel free to suggest things that I haven't mentioned up in the description. Thanks!

Places to play tennis in Kandy?

Any places where I can play tennis with a bunch of friends for like an hour? I know Kandy Garden Club has a court but I heard it’s for members only?

When and how to view/participate in Esala Perahara?

Hi! We're an Indian family travelling to Sri Lanka from 21st to 31st August this year for tourism. One of my favourite books growing up featured festivals from around the world, one of them being Esala Perahara. Hence we planned our trip to coincide with the festival this year and am very excited to see something from close quarters that I grew up reading about hundreds of times!

We are planning to cover Colombo, Kandy, Ella and Yala National Park between Aug 21st to 31st with our 2 young kids (aged 3 and 5). We are aiming to spend 2-3 days in Kandy for the festival and want to know which days of the festival would be ideal to visit with kids.

Any additional tips on where to stay and the best ways to explore the city and immerse in it's culture will be great too.

Thanks in advance. Looking forward to your suggestions!

For context, I''m also attaching a picture of the book for your reference.

What are some beginner friendly sports, dance, music, art or any other activities in Kandy where I can meet people and slowly build confidence in a supportive environment?

I'm a 20 year old girl and I've been dealing with depression for quite some time, but I'm finally in a better place now and want to slowly start engaging with society again.

I'm very shy, introverted, and have social anxiety, so I struggle a lot with social situations, especially around boys. I tend to become very quiet and awkward.

I'm looking for something small to start with, like a sport, dance class, music class, art class, or any other group activity in Kandy. I'm not trying to become really good at anything, I just want to get out of the house, meet new people, and gradually become more comfortable around others. I do better in supportive and friendly environments.

I'm not planning to do a job right now, and my university starts in the middle of next year. Until then, I want to keep myself occupied because staying home tends to make my thoughts worse.

Can anyone recommend places or activities in Kandy that would suit someone like me? I'd also appreciate info about the environment, the people, and how easy it is to fit in.

No public speaking suggestions please. Anything else is welcome.

Any genuine place to buy this?

So I got this low taper fade cut and it looks good but the prob is after a bath my hair becomes soft and frizzy and even tho I comb it , it looks like a “ nabili cut”.
Did a quick check on google and apparently u have to use sea salt spray or clay/ wax for the hair to hold position.

Any place in Kandy from where I can purchase a GENUINE product?

I don’t trust the local roadside vendors tbh.

Thank you in advance!

Needed a Macbook for 5 days for rent for an exam

Hey everyone,

I’m urgently looking to rent a MacBook for just 5 days. I have a Swift/iOS exam coming up on the 2nd and I need a physical Mac to take it on.

I can pay a rental fee of 2,500 LKR per day. Will be using xcode so I might need least 30gb available storage space and will take excellent care of your machine while I have it.

I'm based in the Katugastota/Kandy area and can travel a bit to pick it up and drop it back off.

If you have a spare MacBook you'd be willing to rent out for a few days, please drop a comment or send me a DM.

Thanks in advance!

Looking to connect with new people from Kandy

I’m in my mid-twenties and recently got married and moved to Kandy from Colombo. Before relocating, I had a successful corporate career, an active social life, and a close circle of friends. At the moment, I’m not working, and the transition to a new city and lifestyle has been quite challenging.

I’d love to connect with other women who are also looking to make friends or expand their social circles. I’m particularly interested in business, fitness, sports, arts, and other community activities or clubs in Kandy where I can meet like-minded people..
