A server error accidentally gave us the perfect day in Udupi

My friend is from Bangalore and I'm from Mysore. We both told our families that we were going to Udupi for passport verification which was actually true. We had our appointment, but due to a server error the verification couldn't be completed.

Since we were already there, we decided not to waste the trip. We rented a bike and just started exploring. Instead of only visiting the temple, we rode through the villages, crossed rivers and small streams, visited a dam, spent time at Malpe Beach, and just enjoyed the peaceful countryside. We even rode through arecanut (adike) plantations. It rained on and off throughout the day, but somehow that made the ride even better.

The people in Udupi were incredibly kind and helpful wherever we went. And the food... absolutely amazing! We had goli baje and Mangalore buns, and they were some of the best snacks I've ever eaten.

It wasn't a trip we had planned at all, but it ended up becoming one of the most memorable days I've had with my close friend. Sometimes the best trips are the ones that happen because things don't go according to plan.

Udupi, we'll definitely be back. ❤️

Had the opportunity to attend the Annual sports meet at Sri Sathya Sai Grama near Bengaluru, Karnataka and wanted to share a few moments from the event.

It was wonderful to see students from schools participating with so much enthusiasm, discipline, and sportsmanship at the Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Annual Sports & Cultural Meet 2026. The energy on the field, synchronized marches, cultural performances, and cheering from parents and teachers made for a memorable day.

Sharing some photos from the event, hope you enjoy them!

Would love to hear if anyone else here has visited Sri Sathya Sai Grama or has memories of similar school sports meets in Karnataka.

First time in Karnataka (work purpose)

Hello dear all. My first time in Karnataka. My primary location will be Bengaluru but currently transferred to Tumkur for work purpose. What should I know and what should I get familiar with in this state? Sorry to everyone I don't know Kannada, language barrier might be an issue, but I'm trying to learn! 😊
