Need skincare recommendations

Hi guys I want skincare recommendations like cleanser, toner, serum and moisturizer. I have a combo dehydrated sensitive and hyperpigmentation skin that easily gets clogged! My nose is super oily while others are normal and cuz of my oily nose I got sebaceous filaments which just won’t go away also I have hyperpigmentation around my face which I wanna get rid including my closed comedones! So I want skincare recommendations on to get rid of those and please don’t recommend me retinol products. There are also few products I have thought of buying, like the Whipped Yujamong Vegan Pack Cleanser or Dr Althea 345 mist or maybe the by wishtrend matcha & ceramide cream mist. If you have tried this do let me know how you feel about it! I will appreciate all the recommendations and feedback.

Your $0.02 on what cushion foundation I should get?

hey rveryone! I’m buying my first foundation ever, and know I want a cushion! i have dehydrated combo skin, with an oily t zone. my BIGGEST issue is red cheeks. I don’t have rosacea or anything, and my skin isn’t sensitive or damaged, just lots of vascularity.

im looking for a very light weight, medium/leaning slightly low coverage, and for the finish, kind of a slightly shiny, smooth, almost slightly wet? not sure how to describe it. kind of like a peeled hard boiled egg? lol.

here is what options have gathered so far:

tirtir crystal mesh cushion

tirtir aura cushion

ABOUT_TONE water layer cushion

my only requirement is that its UNDER 25 bucks on at least one reputable website.

if someone could share their experience, or offer something that fits these guidelines, that would be great!❤️❤️

What’s your favorite primer that applies well with just your fingers?

I usually keep my makeup pretty simple and tend to use my hands more than brushes.

I’m thinking about adding a primer to my routine, so I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for one that blends out nicely with just your fingers.

Thanks in advance!

Why don’t Korean sunscreen brands publish their PPD numbers?

Does anyone know the history of why Korean sunscreen brands don’t publish their PPD numbers, unlike some European brands that do? Please correct me if I’m wrong but my understanding is that a sunscreen with a PA++++ rating could have a PPD as low as 17 or as high as 50. But if they don’t actually publish that PPD number, you have no way of knowing how high that UVA protection actually is.

Also, is anyone aware of any PA++++ Korean formulations that *do* publish their PPD numbers? Are there any in K-beauty with confirmed high PPD numbers? (30 and above)

As someone who only got into Kbeauty and Korean sunscreens this past year (love my Skin1004 Hyalu- Cica and Round Lab Birch Juice), I’d love to know what those of you more well versed in the topic think.

Is there some sort of broad assumption that because most of the Korean formulations are very cosmetically elegant they won’t have a higher PPD rating above 17 so there’s no point in them publishing those numbers?

For those who don’t know PPD (Persistent Pigment Darkening) is a measurement of how much a sunscreen reduces UVA-induced skin darkening by comparing the amount of UVA exposure needed to cause pigmentation with sunscreen versus without sunscreen.

Looking for the best sunscreen for combination skin! Hoping it’s easy to find in the US, but I’ll take a website that has a good one that I can order.

The best cream I've ever used!!

It's so good! I bought three bottles when I was in Seoul and finished them all, so I asked a friend to bring me three more this time! I love it for daily use and its anti-aging properties!

Saw a post recommending gel masks here and finally tried one, kinda impress

I kept seeing people recommend gel masks here, so I finally gave one a try even though I was pretty skeptical at first and honestly, it turned out way better than I expected.

I’ve only ever used sheet masks before, but I was ordering skincare anyway and decided to throw one in just to see. I just used it after washing my face and my skin feels really hydrated right now. Now I’m kinda tempted to order more lol. Whoever recommended gel masks here, thank you

Has anyone else tried gel masks? I really liked how moisturizing it felt, but I’m curious what kind of results other people noticed.

Do they help with dryness or redness if you use them consistently?

Hallow eye advice?

Without any fillers or surgical procedures… what are best creams/serums and eye products to help reduce the appearance of my sunken eyes? I’m only 22 and I want to do something before it gets worse.. one thing I’m so insecure about especially when I am standing in front of a mirror from far away and see such shadows on my eyes 😭

Any ideas on how she keeps her hair blonde?

Apparently, I'm a huge fan of BLACKPINK. I also support their solo releases. During the pandemic, I noticed how many times Rosé bleached her hair. She kept changing her looks from How You Like That, Ice Cream, and Lovesick Girls. After that era, we haven’t seen her in her black hair era again. What do you think is her secret to maintaining that look? I’m not asking because I want to try it, just curious. Maybe her hair treatments are so expensive to maintain 😆. I still can’t figure out how she did that 😭😭😭

Did Yes Style ship me U.S. formulation sunscreens all way from Korea?🧐

I'm in the U.S. In the past, I've usually used Olive Young. Recently, I've been a bit of a "glow chaser" and I decided to do some research on the glowiest imported Korean SPFs and order one of each to try them out. The d'Alba UV Essence Waterfull+ Sunscreen was frequently cited on lists of the glowiest Korean SPFs.

My list included suncreens from d'Alba, Skin1004, Numbuzin and Insintree. I, perhaps naively, assumed that any sunscreen sold on Yes Style, Olive Young, Syle Vana etc. was automatically going to the be the Korean version so, admittedly, I wasn't spending a bunch of time scruitinizing each product page listing once I had my shortlist of products I wanted to trial. Yes Style was the only site that carried all of the particular ones I wanted to trial, so I went with them.

The Skin1004, Numbuzin and Insntree they sent are all the Korean SPF 50+ PA++++ versions. But, these two d'Alba ones are only Broad Spectrum SPF 50+.

But here's where things get extra confusing. If you look at the product page for the main UV Essence Waterfull+, yes, admittedly, the product imagery shows the packaging with "Broad Spectrum SPF 50+" labeling.

The product description doesn't mention the SPF. But if you scroll down to customer reviews of the product, you'll see some of them having photos included in their reviews showing packaging with "SPF 50+ PA++++".

And if you look at the product page for the Pink Correcting Tone-Up version of the UV Essence Waterfull+, you'll see, yes, the photos of the product show packaging with the "BROAD SPECTRUM SPF 50+" labeling. But, this time, the Editor's Notes (aka product description) says:

>"Revitalize and protect your skin with this vegan sunscreen fitted with mineral and chemical UV filters for SPF 50+ PA++++ sun protection."

Now, that in particular feels like a bait and switch!

Am I misreading something (it's quite possible... I'm not cosmetic chemist), or are they selling variations intended to be sold domestically in the U.S. with the U.S. FDA cleared filters? This is so disappointing. I mean... why would someone in the U.S. want to pay to get a U.S. formulation shipped all the way from Korea?

Images and screenshots attached for reference.

EDITED TO ADD: Claude helped me ID that there is some labeling on the box confirming that this isn't some random Korean-audience SPF. Meaning, my suspicion that this is a formulation made in Korea with the intention of being sold to Americans is accurate:

>According to Claude, the boxes themselves confirm these are purpose-built US-market products rather than Korean domestic imports. The FDA-issued NDC (National Drug Code) numbers on the packaging are the clearest indicator — NDC numbers are only assigned to products registered as OTC drugs for the US market; a sunscreen sold domestically in Korea would have no reason to carry one. The "Broad Spectrum SPF 50+" labeling is also US-specific — it follows FDA OTC monograph language, whereas Korean domestic packaging uses the "SPF 50+ PA++++" format. Together these confirm that whatever YesStyle's listings implied, what shipped is a US-market SKU that happens to be manufactured in Korea.

Is the glow concealer worth it?

I’ve been thinking whether I should purchase the glow concealer specifically the white + pink shade. For those who have purchased it, what are the pros and cons? do you recommend it?

Korea pharmacies are getting so much attention lately.

You can find K-beauty, derm skincare, wellness products, healthy snacks, supplements, and even free health checkups all in one place. Some pharmacies also give personalized product recommendations
