Coffee tastes like dirt

I have a classic Keurig. Lately whenever I make coffee it comes out tasting like dirt. I’ve cleaned all the parts, including the needles. I’ve done the descaling with water and vinegar. I go to make coffee and the first time it tastes fine, but then it goes back to tasting like dirt. I’ve been careful about not leaving k cups in after I use them. Has anyone else experienced this? And any thoughts on how to resolve. Thanks!

Brand new keurig k-iced plus produces very little coffee

Is this normal? No matter what size I select, I get maybe an inch of coffee in my cup. This was supposed to be 12 ounces

This was the second time using this, first time I selected 6 ounces and it produced about the same.

I’ve never had a keurig before so not sure if I should return this one or if this is expected

blooming your k cup coffee.

i been trying out blooming my coffee for awhile, and trying it in a reusable k cup today with really really hot water actually helped a lot with the brew!

you just need hot water at 195 or 200 degrees and to steep your coffee pod into the water for a while. until "yep that will do!"

it will bubble and release gases. and after that now jam that reusable pod into the keurig machine and hit brew.

it actually has improved flavor of the coffee to me! might work for you?

EDIT

this is just a silly method i did, i bet there are better ways to do this!

but it seemed to work for me and my keurig.

What's the best way to tackle cleaning this part of a Keurig?

Good Morning everyone, I am helping my dad, by cleaning his Keurig and need tips on how to clean this part (see pictures) of the Keurig. Also, what can I use to get mineral buildup removed?

I am currently using toothpicks and a toothbrush, however even with those two tools, I can't manage to get into these tight crevices.

I am planning on using a vacuum cleaner to suck up all of the coffee grounds at the top. However, I'm not sure if that'll be enough.

Thanks!

What is going on here?

I buy Costco brand k-cups. In a box of 120, most of them will taste fine, but about 10% of them will make a very bitter and unpleasant tasting cup of coffee. The pods that taste off always have a concave top like on the left, and the normal tasting ones are convex like on the right.

At first I thought the manufacturer was being sneaky and throwing in cheaper, lower quality Robusta beans instead of Arabica, but now I think it has to do with how the k-cup is being sealed given the shape difference.

K Cups for Someone who Hates Keurig Coffee?

I hate the taste of Keurig coffee, but my office only has a Keurig, and I live alone, so I don’t like to make an entire pot of coffee for myself at home.
Does anyone have a K Cup recommendation that tastes like “real” coffee? For context, my issue with Keurig coffee is mainly the weakness, but it also always tends to have a burnt/cardboard-like taste to me. I am hoping for a K Cup that is stronger and fuller tasting.

K-Compact, K-Mini, K-Express, K-Supreme, K-Duo, K-Ice… there’s just too many models for me to choose from. Which one is best? Which one is worse?

I want to buy a Keurig, but I don’t know which one to get and there’s so many models that I can’t decide. I don’t want to buy one and then it doesn’t perform as needed, but I just don’t know which model to get.

I can’t they just have Keurig Air, Keurig Pro, and Keurig Pro-Max? Why 15 different models?

Refillable K-cups

This is a follow-up to a previous question about refillable K-cups.

I have a brand-new K-mini Go. I am having a hard time finding a refillable K-cup that works with it because the needle doesn't line up with the cups I was using with my previous Keurig machine. When I removed the basket, I was able to use the cup, but coffee grounds went everywhere and the coffee was bad.

I bought a so-called universal reusable K-cup from Keurig. The coffee was fine but grounds came out of the K-cup like in the picture. Someone suggested the K-cup wasn't closed completely, but the cup has a latch on it, so I don't think that's the problem.

I don't know what else to do. I don't want to keep using disposable cups.

Hi all, we have a Keurig in our AirBnB. A renter said the (new) keurig stopped working and left this note. Can you help me decipher what part is missing before I go see it in person?

Keurig type: Keurig K-Express Single Serve K-Cup Pod Coffee Maker, 3 Brew Sizes, Strong Button
Feature, 42oz Removable Reservoir, Warm Stone

Thank you!

Wow, Keurig customer service really went downhill.

I've had probably 10 various Keurig makers over the past couple decades between our house and camper. Over those years, I've had a few go bad while still under the one-year warranty and replacement was pretty easy. Not today though! Our K-Supreme Plus that was less than 90 days old and purchased directly from Keurig died in a puff of smoke this morning when making the first cup of the day.

So, I call customer service and after going through two people, they of course said they would replace it, but not until I sent them the broken one and it gets "evaluated" first. I told her I didn't have a box, but she said to just find anything it would fit in.

I've never had to return a bad Keurig for previous replacements, but it's been several years since I had a warranty replacement. I buy a lot from them too. It even took CS a bit to find my order since she said I had a lot of them.

They should have at least offered to ship the replacement while I work on getting the bad one returned. It could be a couple weeks before I can get it sent. Aside from trying to find a box, which I don't have anything close, I'm also a disabled vet and it's a pain to go to the nearest UPS spot.

I'm now looking on Amazon at the Ninja Pod & Grounds XL after this. Has anyone had one of those, and how do they compare? I did like the Multi-Stream in the K-Supreme Plus and don't know if the Ninja would have less flavor without that.
