Rum raisin ice cream?
Does any one know where I could find Rum Raisin ice cream around here? I’ve looked in so many places in Kingston and Saugerties, but no luck and now it is consuming my life. Thank you in advance!

I heard it was going to be opened the weekend of the fourth. Thanks!
UPDATE: His owner contacted me and knows where he is located!
Anyone lost a dog near west saugerties around 10:30ish. We found him wandering the woods and are looking to reconnect him with his family. If this is your dog please message me!
For the last week or so there has been one on a residential street in Marbletown. Why?
The city is doing a screening of The Sandlot at Hasbrouck Park tonight at dusk on an inflatable screen. Bring a chair!
What’s the latest with the train station proposals on this side of the river? Where could it be in Kingston?
Said something Sheriff on the side. Anyone know what they’re doing?
We live in Kingston and truly think this is a great spot for drinks or food. Do not understand the Reddit hate.
My wife and I went to Lone Wolf for her birthday. My wife is gluten free and very reactive to cross contamination, as she has celiac disease. The food was great, the drinks were great, truly no complaints. This was one of the few restaurants I have been to where the cocktails feel crafted and worth their price. The food feels original, and I left feeling that my money was spent well. Our bill was less than we thought, and we both left happy, and tipsy from two drinks, while feeling full.
I truly don’t understand why anyone, especially someone who has celiac disease, wouldn't try this place. Is it a little pricy compared to other restaurants, yes. However, I would say this is one of the few times that that price felt completely worth it for both the food and drinks.
Extra: My wife and I experimented with cocktails which I highly recommend as all the cocktails are good and it was more fun taking a risk on a drink than just ordering the usual.
I know one is not supposed to swim after a big rain, but is there anyone on here who can explain which would be a better option?
It's going to be hot today as you all know and I was planning to hang out and cool off either in the Hudson or at a swimming hole in a creek.
Is one safer than the other after the brief heavy rain we had yesterday? Does it make a difference if I don't have any open wounds or submerge my head? Or am I just being stupid?
Does anyone know what's going on with Mother Earth's Storehouse in the King's Mall? Over the past few months, I've noticed many of the items I usually purchase have been out of stock. Whenever I ask an employee when they expect the product to be restocked, they give me the same answer of "hopefully sometime next week." A week then passes and I get the same answer. The shelves just seem to be getting emptier and emptier.
Is the store going out of business or something? I really hope not. It would be such a blow to the local community if we lost them. None of the other health food stores in the area come close to having the variety Mother Earth's has to offer.
I’m debating on taking a bus over to smith street when i’m able, is free to thrift as big as it looks on their website?
Where is everyone watching the USA game tonight?
This used to be a thing years ago - you could take doors and trim to a place and they would dip it in caustic chemicals to remove the paint. Does anyone know such a vendor in the HV?
Are there any places nearby that someone is able to paddle board and safe to swim in? I’m a big fan of White Pond in Kent which is calm waters with a slight drift and tested waters.
I’m a local hobbyist interested in local history, if you have an older (pre-1950s) house or any large open field and want to know what could be buried in your yard I’d love to swing my metal detector around. You can keep anything I find. I just love the hunt. I’ll take photos for myself and hand everything else over to you. I also have a spare machine if you’d like to join me :).
Hi Kingston!
I will likely be moving to the area in the fall for 6 months plus for a training academy. I’m looking for a month by month lease or maybe a sublet.
I’ve been having trouble finding places on apartments.com or Zillow. I’m not looking for anything fancy as my days will be spend out at the academy. I simply need a place to sleep and eat, nothing more.
Any recommendations?
Thanks!
Hello, does anyone know what to do in Kingston. I’m in Kingston boredddd there’s nothing to do. And I have no friends up here. Is anyone trying to explore this area with me or show me around the place. I’m 22 male and I like cars, gym, anime, dark humor, like everything in an extrovert but I have no one to be an extrovert with 💀… sigh
Hey, all,
thinking about getting my bike up to Kingston and using it to get around more. As maps tell me, it's pretty convenient for me to get to Uptown (from Hurley). It's a pretty narrow shoulder for about a quarter-to-half a mile, though.
Just curious what people's experiences have been biking somewhere without a dedicated bike lane or large enough shoulder to support safer biking.
Edit: thank you to everyone who mentioned the "Green Line" rail trail. I just looked it up and I am so close! it's a perfect commute to uptown so I can enjoy a break from work!
Currents launches on July 25th! It'll be a monthly(ish) event (though the next ones are scheduled for Oct 3 and Nov 7). Advance tickets available at currentsny.party
We're excited to add this to the other great electronic music parties happening in the Hudson Valley!
