I think I randomly found the perfect video to explain the "Kpop Idols lack groove/don't feel the music" convo that happens once a month and gets polarizing, LOOK at the difference between Taeyang and Meovv here, it's crazy how well you can 100% see it. We are not making this topic up fr😆

And Meovv are not bad dancers by any means they have super difficult choreo and they are great at executing it, so this is not a nitpicky video choosing a known bad dancer like Jisoo and putting her next to Momo like sometimes people do things like that for this convo and its like no shit that loses the actual point and turns it into fanwar slop lol

I think this is an amazing example of it being an actual thing because nobody in the video is a prodigy dancer and the choreo is not difficult, but the difference in how they do the moves and feel the groove and the music is SOOO obvious

X:IN getting famous?!

X:IN is making a comeback on 6th oct with the famous Brazilian singer Luìsa Sonza with 11 songs in it. Crowd is going crazy over this fact, loads of new ppl are getting to know x:in.

Luìsa has 29M followers on insta and is veryy big name.

Recently x:in released a medleys, and guys it was like crazyy all the complaints is been solved plus the quality is crazy the concept pics are crazyyyy!!!

I feel this time they will finally get out of this unknown phase and gain loads of attention in Twitter they were trending and even there teaser post got 400k+ view in just 1 day

Underrated groups that have potential to blow up.

Seeing Rescene's popularity blow up this year made me so happy.

I was wondering do you guys feel like there are any recent underrated groups you can see blowing up or gaining major popularity which are not from Big 4.

Personally I feel like 82major has great potential. They have been slowly getting attention (got their first win too) and their discography is also something a big audience would enjoy. Plus visually they are very appealing (both concept and member wise).

Musically I can also see Close Your Eyes getting attention too. They have probably the most consistent sound which a lot of people already appreciate.

Any other underrated groups you are looking out for?

what cured (or prevented) your parasocialism / obsession?

i rlly liked kpop when i was a child (around 2009-2012) and then i stopped caring until honestly last year LOL but as i've been getting back into kpop and seeing how the fan community is, it's rlly opened my eyes to how crazy fan culture is. like i just can't imagine that ever being me lmao

i'm 25 now and fan culture is obviously much different now compared to when i was 11. kpop has expanded globally and fans have so much more access to idols online these days which makes it easier to fall into parasocialism or obsession. those terms aren't always interchangeable and honestly, i'd say obsession is worse bc parasocialism isn't always inherently harmful.

but anyways, since i wasn't in the kpop spaces for over a decade and haven't personally witnessed the rapid growth of kpop and its fan culture, i wanted to ask u all:

what was ur wake up call that cured ur obsession / parasocialism? or, if u never fell too deep in, what prevented u from becoming obsessed / parasocial?

some ppl on this subreddit could use some tips...

Idk why fans start hating idols when they start dating

Like i genuinely don't get it. Why tf do u care so much abt their personal life? It's their life, if they want to date someone, they can. And at some point even they wna get date and marry the love of their life, just like us..u cannot jst hate idols cz they start dating and all..and also I don't get it why they ship random idols with each other, jst because two idols made eye contact doesn't necessarily mean they're dating anyone or anything.. ppl who do these things are rlly annoying i swear
