BIGBANG's "BiiiG" debuted straight to the Top 1 on Melon. 2 on Genie. 1 on Bugs. DEBUTED AT NUM 1 IS CRAZY 😆 Absolute kings forever👑
20 years into their career and have been charting like this since the start too, what a ride and everything they have gone through and still having this success feels unreal
This level of longevity too is so amazing for an industry that is so obssesed with youth and moving onto the next group quickly, these men will be 40 in 2/3 years. There will never be another bigbang✨️
G-Dragon (!) doing Yaho today on a BigBang promo vid 😆 Okay this is insane they have really reached the pinnacle of Korean celebs with one meme, cant imagine how crazy this is to watch for the girls and their families
It is likely by the time they debut Sakura will be close to 17 or 17, semi fluent in english, with more training time than she would have gotten w the original debut date, and closer to the other members as friends. Silver lining of all that has happened to this group that I just thought about
She has a February birthday so in the time they take to find a new member (if they add one which likely because they need another vocalist), 17 for her is not far away and that is a much better age to debut than 15 or freshly 16, they would only have a minor in the group for 1 year so it would not limit concepts as much either
Samara and (especially) Emily seem to have taken her under their wing in the small interactions we get to see so that will probably help too to make the group feel more cohesive and look less as if they are babysitting
Also even if the age difference is still really big, when everyone gets older it feels less weird imo, like I have coworkers Im friends with in their 30s and Im 22 and that feels normal but I could never imagine having a friend thats 15, so if that makes sense the more they grow up the age difference will feel less and less weird and maybe a delayed debut is a net positive in the end for this group

This BigBang 20th anniversary teaser pic WOW🔥 the BP fiasco looks even worse now omg😭when the other iconic YG group is going to go full out it seems
Anyone knows the story of how Wonyoung and Yujin ended up at Starship? Did they audition for any of the big 4 agencies too or not? They have such "perfect Idol" vibes I have always been surprised they did not get picked up by SM or HYBE or somewhere huge
Obviously it all ended up working out for them and they are hugely succesful in IVE so this is not a "complaining" post more so just surprised they were not scouted or chose to audition for the big agencies if they didnt do it
Yujin especially I feel like she could have made it anywhere in the big 4, she can even rock the YG concept in a performance heavy group she is a super versatile Idol, Wony because of her perfect Idol image and visual could have seen her in SM in another universe, interesting to think of the what ifs
Anyone else is genuinely surprised how long Rebecca and Carlos have lasted and doesnt seem its stopping any time soon? I was so sure at first it was a rebound thing and Carlos would move on to the next super hot model in a month lol a lot of people thought the same I remember

Its interesting to think about how it all unfolded because in my opinion at first on his end it was likely a casual hook up thing of oh I found a hot model to pass the time with nothing serious will move on soon to the next one in line now Im single after a super long relationship
Because considering his background I highly doubt he started seeing Rebecca thinking of her being a serious partner he would have around his family etc, but then he actually did fall for her and thats how we got the public part of the relationship like 1 year in there was a big change, even posting her online which he never did with Isa
Obviously this is all speculation just ranting but I find it quite fascinating, Im spanish and understand the kind of circles Carlos grew up in, its basically such high class only below actual royalty lol like very very high class, they only marry each other pretty much and even to just date publicly its 99% of the time with people of their same background
Idk why Steph is so obssesed w being Pro when she is the PERFECT commercial dancer w her skill & look, would be so booked
Not saying this in a shady way at all obviously she can choose her own path and whatever she wants to pursue most she is also a great ballroom dancer
Just everytime I see her tiktok vids like this one I have this thought, she is obviously super talented but also has a perfect crosstrained skillset + her look + stage presence while dancing for booking commercial work, music videos, touring with artists, etc
Anyone else feels this way too?
New official BIGBANG single dropping August 19th, predicting Melon TOP 1 instantly and a lot of PAKs incoming no matter if the song is entirely made of fart sounds ngl 🤣😭 (Joking Im sure the song will be good)
Just predicting that is going to fully smash the Korean charts for months which very duh of me, although Im curious if it will be bigger than Home Sweet Home domestically that one was huge last year
but it was technically a GD song ft Taeyang and Daesung this is their first release under the BIGBANG name in a while that might give it an even bigger push with YG backing too 🤔
Will have to wait and see.. the teaser pics look cool but still a bit weird to see Bigbang with 3 members ngl TOP was always my fav 😔
Lindsay dancing 6 weeks post partum omg body goals!! All the Pro moms are such queens 🤌🏻🔥
Jojo is such a good dancer I still cant believe she was allowed to compete as a contestant lol like pls
I know her silly antics make people forget how talented she is but this video really reminded me like there is barely a difference here between her and Ezra Hailey Rylee & Kamri when they are dancing hip hop/commercial
Sure she was not trained in ballroom but still that is a crazy level of dance training to have as a contestant, not even complaining I enjoyed her on the show and I really loved the female pairing with Jenna that was beautiful to see as a queer girly myself, just an honest thought on her overqualification to be a contestant 😆
Nina reminded me of Maks and early years Val, bc she is talented and charismatic she behaves like that w no consequences
idk how to explain it well like she did not do anything that crazy Chmerkovskiy style (yet lol) but just that archetype of because you are talented, and attractive (important for this point!) and have a lot of charisma you havent been told NO much if at all in your life and you behave as such, that is very CBro coded
She can steamroll over people because she is super assertive and speaks her mind and she sounds so sure of herself, Benji was literally stuttering in the glimpses we saw when trying to speak up Ive seen Maks have this effect on people so much as an OG watcher lol they just freeze
these type of dancers just give you the impression in the moment that your opinion doesnt really matter "well they seem so sure they must be right" even more if they have accolades, which Nina has more than Benji in Ballroom so that probably helped to make him feel small too
Again I dont think she did anything crazy she was not yelling or being super rude but just the type of personality I clocked it that it can 100% lead to all that if she gets heated or someone actually fights back unlike Benji
Bryce has tied Caleb as the most followed male Islander this season, the battle of the pretty white boys is ON who will get to 1.6M first 🤣🤣 So crazy Caleb was the most followed S8 guy for so long nothing against him but he had no story and barely screentime
If they add an extra member I think adding a 18yr old would be a good idea to bridge the gap between 16 and 20 while being an adult (dont want another minor debuting) big age differences between the oldest and youngest are not that uncommon in kpop but it is usually more scaled
Le Sserafim is a really good example, at debut they had a very young Maknae too Eunchae she was 15, and Sakura was 24, this is an even crazier age difference between youngest and oldest than St Satine
but in the middle they had Garam (16), Kazuha (18) Yunjin (20) and Chaewon (21)
Garam was kicked out early which left Eunchae as the only minor for a couple years, but if you notice in their debut plans they had a really good scale up from 15 to 24 to bridge the huge age difference between Eunchae and Sakura as much as they could
Steph teaching how to do a Samba Whisk! This is the type of stuff we need on Next Pro to see how they are at teaching 👀
2nd Gen Idols were really wilding on stage CL was insane for this lmao, well these two had no chill in general ever💀🤣 what male and female Idols do you think could get away with this in today's kpop.. if any? Im sure there is some that could, but fans are just too crazy
Allen and Briar from The Next Pro dancing together ✨️ they killed this! 👏🏻
Bryce says "like" every 2 words omg 3 at most you can literally count them LMAO he says it more than Gen Z influencers 😭🤣
People had been pointing this out during the season already but this interview made me notice it even more you can actually count: 1st word 2nd word LIKE 3rd word 4th word 5th word (he got 3 in a row omg!) LIKE hahaha bless him
He is very smart and articulate so this is obviously not a dig at that at all he is just as Trin put it "LA as hell" it reminds me of that skit with the valley girl barista 😆
