I have a few:

1 - Jisoo is genuinely a stunning woman, talentless as hell, cant dance can barely hit a note 0 charisma

But the moment someone calls her ugly in the name of snark that is delulu Im sorry lmao also a very natural visual for kpop standards

2 - Jennie has star quality. (Im afraid this will be controversial here but because people dont really understand what star quality is)

That does not mean that she is talented, she is a lazy performer a mid rapper, a bad singer and just seems like a nasty entitled person all around

but still she has that "it" thing that you cant teach or explain and she is the only one that has it in Blackpink, it is declining tho with the weird choices in everything but 2016-2020 Jennie is prime example of what I mean

3- Rose can sing. Obviously she is not Ariana Grande but considering how the bar for kpop vocals is on the floor she can Idol level sing

She is just so utterly boring and uninteresting that the fact that she is the only member in BP that can actually sing has served her for nothing 💀 Jennie and Lisa are 10 times less talented but 10 times more relevant

People on TikTok are convinced she should be the next Pro and Im so confused, this is the same crowd that rips any Pro that did not start training ballroom in the womb to shreds every season 😭 do they... just dont know?

like Rylee (who grew up dancing Ballroom) has been criticized so much for not being ballroom enough and Selena is.. literally 0 ballroom (?) she is an amazing commercial dancer, literally what Briar is and was getting hated for, same for Jan

I dont have anything against her at all btw lovely girl I just need answers on what is going on it feels so opposite than what the usual discourse on non ballroom Pros is like we entered opposite day on this show 🤣

20 years into their career and have been charting like this since the start too, what a ride and everything they have gone through and still having this success feels unreal

This level of longevity too is so amazing for an industry that is so obssesed with youth and moving onto the next group quickly, these men will be 40 in 2/3 years. There will never be another bigbang✨️

She has a February birthday so in the time they take to find a new member (if they add one which likely because they need another vocalist), 17 for her is not far away and that is a much better age to debut than 15 or freshly 16, they would only have a minor in the group for 1 year so it would not limit concepts as much either

Samara and (especially) Emily seem to have taken her under their wing in the small interactions we get to see so that will probably help too to make the group feel more cohesive and look less as if they are babysitting

Also even if the age difference is still really big, when everyone gets older it feels less weird imo, like I have coworkers Im friends with in their 30s and Im 22 and that feels normal but I could never imagine having a friend thats 15, so if that makes sense the more they grow up the age difference will feel less and less weird and maybe a delayed debut is a net positive in the end for this group

Obviously it all ended up working out for them and they are hugely succesful in IVE so this is not a "complaining" post more so just surprised they were not scouted or chose to audition for the big agencies if they didnt do it

Yujin especially I feel like she could have made it anywhere in the big 4, she can even rock the YG concept in a performance heavy group she is a super versatile Idol, Wony because of her perfect Idol image and visual could have seen her in SM in another universe, interesting to think of the what ifs

Its interesting to think about how it all unfolded because in my opinion at first on his end it was likely a casual hook up thing of oh I found a hot model to pass the time with nothing serious will move on soon to the next one in line now Im single after a super long relationship

Because considering his background I highly doubt he started seeing Rebecca thinking of her being a serious partner he would have around his family etc, but then he actually did fall for her and thats how we got the public part of the relationship like 1 year in there was a big change, even posting her online which he never did with Isa

Obviously this is all speculation just ranting but I find it quite fascinating, Im spanish and understand the kind of circles Carlos grew up in, its basically such high class only below actual royalty lol like very very high class, they only marry each other pretty much and even to just date publicly its 99% of the time with people of their same background

Just predicting that is going to fully smash the Korean charts for months which very duh of me, although Im curious if it will be bigger than Home Sweet Home domestically that one was huge last year

idk how to explain it well like she did not do anything that crazy Chmerkovskiy style (yet lol) but just that archetype of because you are talented, and attractive (important for this point!) and have a lot of charisma you havent been told NO much if at all in your life and you behave as such, that is very CBro coded

She can steamroll over people because she is super assertive and speaks her mind and she sounds so sure of herself, Benji was literally stuttering in the glimpses we saw when trying to speak up Ive seen Maks have this effect on people so much as an OG watcher lol they just freeze

these type of dancers just give you the impression in the moment that your opinion doesnt really matter "well they seem so sure they must be right" even more if they have accolades, which Nina has more than Benji in Ballroom so that probably helped to make him feel small too

Again I dont think she did anything crazy she was not yelling or being super rude but just the type of personality I clocked it that it can 100% lead to all that if she gets heated or someone actually fights back unlike Benji
