Is it too late to become a trainee or audition?

I turned 16 late may and I've never really been into kpop but I've always wanted to become a singer. I recently started seeing videos about trainees, etc and it really sparked something in me. I'm half mexican quarter korean and quarter japanese, so I think I'd be something new.

I've also never had proper singing classes but I'd consider myself to have a pretty good voice despite that, as for dancing I've never really tried it but I'm willing to pay for classes starting soon and practice at home too.

I'm not sure if It's too late to try or anything since I see it keeps getting younger and younger or im not sure since kids my age are debuting/ already debuted.

What do u guys think I should do?

Is it worth trying to pass a casting at JYP, HYBE or another label?

I'm 14 years old, Ukrainian, 164-165 cm tall, 57 kg. I'm learning 6 languages, including Korean and English, and I've been learning choreo every day for 1.5-2 hours for over six months now. I want to ask if it's worth trying to apply? What are my chances of becoming a trainee?

I messed up

So, I was reading this person’s Reddit post, and they said they auditioned before submitting the NDA because it wasn’t included in the original email from GEM Casting. Someone replied to them saying, “Oh, just email proof that you submitted the NDA.” I thought we were supposed to provide proof, so I replied to my audition email with proof that I had signed the NDA. I just realized that it didn’t matter, though.

My question is: Since HYBE uses an AI system to make sure that only people who followed the instructions correctly have their videos reviewed, did I potentially flag my audition by replying to my email with the NDA proof?

audition timeline for the future

I just had a question on if anyone had an idea of how auditions will work with hybe for the next couple years in terms of groups. I made a post back in november asking about when the next possible group would be and most people said probably not for the next couple years but it’s looking like hybe’s strategy rn is to just keep pushing out groups and auditions with no ends or is that just for rn it seems like? I’m asking because i am unable to audition for the current one right now for many reasons so i was curious to see if there would be more in the future. I’d appreciate any thoughts anyone might have!

edit: I also meant to ask do we think this is like dream academy where they posted an audition for katseye and then choose the girls to become trainnes, do we think there will be more auditions to come, if this is for the next gg do you think people who are kinda older rn like 19-22 are out of luck if we can’t audition for this current one rn?

14yo European girl (fluent/learning 6 languages, including Korean). Do I stand a chance in K-pop auditions? Honest advice needed.

Hello everyone! I’m a 14-year-old Ukrainian girl currently living in Europe. I am very passionate about becoming a trainee, but I want a realistic reality check. Do I have any chance of being accepted by agencies, or should I not waste my time? Here are my stats and background:Age: 14 years old (turning 15 soon) — height is 165 cm, current weight is 57 kg. I used to be overweight but lost nearly 15+ kg over the past year through hard work, discipline, and lifestyle changes.Languages: I speak/am learning 6 languages, including fluent English and conversational Korean. Moving to a new country a few years ago taught me how to adapt to new environments and learn languages from scratch under pressure.Skills: I am completely self-taught in dancing. I practice choreographies every single day for 1.5 to 2 hours. I am also planning to work on my vocals/rapping.Mindset: I’ve dealt with severe bullying and isolation in the past, so I am mentally prepared for the emotional stress, loneliness, and strict environments. Music has been my escape for years. I am ready to send 100+ audition clips and keep improving my skills after every single rejection. My main fear is my ethnicity. I have a very European look — big eyes, long natural dark lashes, and a snub/upturned nose. I know agencies traditionally prefer Asian features for their main groups.Do global agencies (like HYBE, JYP, or smaller ones doing global projects) actually look for European girls like me if they have the skills and language base? What should I focus on in my online audition videos to stand out?Thank you so much for your honest advice!

Settle the debate: what is this audition actually for?

Is this for Saint Satine or actually a new global girl group or something else?

Is it worth auditioning?

I'm 16, 17 in two months, I'm 5'5(167cm) and 125(~58kg). I'm aware if I ever did get chosen, I would have to lose weight, inevitably. That's besides my point though. I've been trained classically as a soprano, as well as for musical theater vocally, I've sang Ave Maria, Das Veilchen, An die heimat, Sebben Crudele, Lacrimosa, as part of either a choir or solo. I've taken part in Chicago, Les Mis, and Frozen, among others.

I also can rap, and will be includong that in my audition if I do. I also do produce music and lyrics for fun, but I've never put anything out to the public beyond sending links to friends.

My biggest issue is my dance, I did gymnastics and contorsion at a young age, but stopped at 8. The only other dance I have is musical theater. Would being so far behind in dance make it worth auditioning with any hope of getting chosen for the second round?

Any recommendations for dance choice?

I'm more of a vocalist who can hit high notes and a pretty decent rapper but i've never been trained when it comes to dancing. only experience i have is when im jamming to sum random music and make up my own moves like a concert lol. Could anyone suggest any choreos (dont care gender, am a boy) that are good for beginners and can potentially show at auditions?

This excrutiating silence from all my anecdotes and ORCA...

Monday will FINALLY be 2 weeks from the deadline. Neither agency has really updated their social media about the audition or otherwise in a while now. If anyone gets any updates, please let us know.

Should I audition for the HYBE x GEFFEN global girl group 2026?

Im 14 (turning 15 in 4 months)
Im 164cm tall and weigh 54kg.

I have been dancing PROFESSIONALLY for 5 years, all around i have been dancing for over 10years (but i recently stopped for a year to focus on my studies so idk how sharp i am anymore). I never took vocal lessons but i have been told that I’m a pretty good singer. So basically I’m a lower skill set.

Do u guys think i should risk it for the biscuit and audition or should i train more before i audition? Let me know because I’m lowkey spiralling…👀

I think I’m pretty confident and that I’m at least okay looking. And also i tend to be really likeable!
So yeah help a girl out yall I’m BEGGING!!!😭

Freestyling??

When they say “freestyling,” does it mean you have to come up with your own choreography on your side, or is it really something you do on the spot, like improvising?
