So..the Hive75 HE just arrived

So..the Hive75 HE just arrived

Title.

Waited for 4 days just to be met with a bottom side dead RGB keyboard. The keyboard itself works and sounds heavenly but I did not expect the RGB to die out from the factory itself. I was so hyped for this keyboard to finally arrive but this happens ;_; does anyone know how I can get a refund or a replacement? I got it from their website so I'm not sure if the process is going to be as easy as amazon. Did I get scammed?

Kreo - Great marketing, shit hardware, even shittier after-sales support

Bought a Kreo Hive and this is why you shouldn't.

For starters, the keycaps were nothing like what the product images showed. I received those ugly stencil-type letters instead of the normal legends shown on the regular keycaps. I think they fixed this with the V2, but honestly, that was the least of my problems.

After 1 year and 4 months, the Right Shift stopped registering, and its RGB LED also died.

I replaced the switch myself. Didn't fix shit.

Then it got worse. Eventually, the entire row from Left Shift to Right Shift started failing. Keys would randomly stop registering, and eventually the whole row became unusable.

So I contacted Kreo.

Their response? Since the keyboard was out of warranty, they couldn't repair or replace it because they don't have an in-house repair facility. But hey, they were kind enough to offer me 15% off another Kreo product.

I'm not expecting free repairs after the warranty expires. Hardware can fail. That's not the issue.

The issue is that there was literally zero paid support options either.

I would've happily paid for a replacement PCB and installed it myself. I would've paid for a repair. I would've paid for the damn parts. Instead, the answer was essentially: we can't do anything, but here's 15% off another keyboard.

I even took the keyboard to a repair mechanic and had the relevant solder joints reflowed. That didn't help either. The same problem came back.

So now I have an otherwise perfectly usable keyboard that's basically useless because one section of the PCB/matrix is fucked resulting in an entire dead row of keys, and Kreo's solution is to sell me another of their dogshit junk (but hey, 15% off STEAL DEAL).

This is what to be noted here: I'm not asking a company to provide free warranty service forever. I'm asking for some form of after-sales support once the warranty is over. If you don't offer repairs, at least sell replacement PCBs or other parts. Give customers some way to keep their product alive instead of pushing them towards buying another one.

Instead, the summary is:

Poorly made product -> dies after 1 year 4 months -> no repair facility -> no replacement PCB -> 15% coupon to buy another Kreo product.

At this point, I'd rather save up and buy from a reputable keyboard manufacturer than give Kreo another rupee for what feels like rebranded Chinese junk with a fancy sticker on it.

If you're considering buying a Kreo keyboard, you probably shouldn't. Save your money and buy from a company that actually stands behind its products and, more importantly, has a fuckin support system for when something goes wrong after the warranty expires.

Kreo: 1 year of service. 10/10 marketing, 0/10 product and after-sales support.

video#1: see how none of the keys from the left-right shift row are working

Honest opinion about Kreo and its customer service.

dont mind spelling mistakes and grammer bs i am to lazy to edit them out.

I bought a Kreo hive 65 around last year august and till july this year the keyboard was working fabulous no issues, nothing. Everything felt smooth like butter. But then randomly one day keyboard decides to stop working. Like nun of keys decided to register. So i did only logically thing. Contact customer service.

I been reading this subreddit for a while and almost most of the people complaints how shit their customer support. That it took them like one week to get their RMA. I was like shit hopefully it doesn't happens to me💀. So i decided to contact kreo customer support in WhatsApp at august 1 showing them the video. Even despite after doing the troubleshooting steps it didn't got fixed on that itself they gave me RMA and i filled it out. I was yo that was quick and the very next day the courier came and took my faulty keyboard. It took the courier around uhh a week to reach at their facility yeah fairs it was far enough. Then kreo support contacted me saying it was manufacturing defect. That shouldn't happen at first place. But okay, but they told they will be sending me the replacement, and i got it today. Shit works fabulous felt like brand new thing.

Lowkey tbh idk what yall be complaining since many of yall had alot of issues with kreo products and saying their shitty customer support. But honestly for me everything was perfect The customer service was actually faster than i expected. The replacement product works fine and yeah.

Not glazing the living shit of kreo but everything went smoothly asl for me.

New here, need suggestions

I researched like hell since a week and a half for a mechanical keyboard for 3k to 3.5k(will also be buying a controller so that's why the limited budget)

So overall I looked in the aula f75 and the m75, kero hive 75 and 98 v2(I like tactile so brown ig) and the swarm 75(gtmx) I also looked at Ronin x75 but it was a higher price and not worth I feel(idk need feedback).

So currently I'm considering either the hive 75 or 98 v2 or the m75(but it doesn't have white colour and idk what switches it has), i prefer a white/whiteish keyboard (not racist) it could be wired or wireless both are fine.

Ik kero had bad feedback on their v1 models but i also heard v2 is much better actually worth it now. So just need more feedback, suggest me more boards in this price range and if anyone has a kero hive v2 board then tell me ur experience ig

Fixed Kreo Hawk's Software Ui bug

so i bought this mouse 5 days ago ig but the software had issues, where it was showing the mouse 4 button as mouse 5 button which was so confusing for the 1st day and i was like what i am doing wrong..
+
the fire button which the small purple circle is also was mixing with forward button cause there is no view for it to be visible

What i did :

  • fixed the button naming by renaming mouse_4 to mouse_5 and vice versa ( btw the location is : "C:\Program Files (x86)\KREO Hawk GTG\res\skins\mouse")
  • add a purple circle to the 7 image which will help to identify the fire key
  • removed the administrator perms from the exe which was annoying af , you can do this by installing resource hacker app and in manifest change level='requireAdministrator' to level='asInvoker' ( btw if you do this , put your KREO app folder from program files to user or anywhere else cause then you won't need admin perms to write and save keybinding and etc )
  • Changed buttons order (so confusing before ) which you can do by going in buttonpage.xml then inside office_mode_left is your left 4 buttons and inside office_mode_right is your right buttons till mouse_key_8 , so you can rearrange as you want <VerticalLayout width="225" name="office_mode_left"> <!-- 1-4 buttons --> <VerticalLayout> ... <VerticalLayout width="225" name="office_mode_right"> <!-- 5-8 buttons --> <!-- other hidden buttons which are no use --> <VerticalLayout>
