Just discovered Lacuna Coil and I love what I hear. What's the one song that sounds most like them, and one that doesn't sound like them at all?

I discovered Lacuna Coil recently.

Weird ask, but when I’m discovering a new band, I always like to hear the one song that fans think defines them, the song that tells me who they are as a band.

Then I want to hear the song that’s basically the polar opposite, something that shows me what else they’re capable of when they’re outside their comfort zone. And it doesn’t necessarily have to be a good song.

My first Lacuna Coil AMV - set to "The Ghost Woman & the Hunter" (anime: Violet Evergarden ep. 10)

Just finished a Lacuna Coil AMV using clips from the anime, Violet Evergarden. The episode whose scenes I composed this video from is widely regarded as one of the greatest single episodes of any anime in history, as well as one of the most tearjerking. The story follows a mother who is deathly ill and her seven-year-old daughter Anne, who is the focal point of the video.

SPOILERS for that episode. Hope you enjoy!

Made my own LC shirt!

I don’t have the money to buy one, so I made my own with acrylic paint and a plain black shirt! Had fun and am now waiting for the paint to dry

Do you think there's any way Angels Punishment would work out as piano-solo arrangement?

...as in, did you ever hear a piano arrangement to a similar growling-focused track that actually sounded decent?

Just for fun I've been trying a few things, and I believe it *might* be doable if you get the beat right (e.g. smash a bunch of quaver-fifths in the right rhythm), and then just play plain intervals (no triads) in violin clef for the voice.

I've never done something like this before though, and I halfway expect the result to sound like a hot mess if I listen to it by next week lol

Songs with a riff similar to 𝘜𝘱𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯?

My introduction to Lacuna Coil was when a friend put me onto 𝘚𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘸, and I listened to the entirety of 𝘚𝘭𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘌𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘦. The gothic metal sound is what I came to associate the band with

The music I listen to is predominantly nu-metal, so when I ended up stumbling onto 𝘜𝘱𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯 I really latched onto it because of how bouncy the riff was and how different it was from what I thought the band was

Do they have any other songs similar to this? I had presumed if there were any they'd also be on 𝘋𝘢𝘳𝘬 𝘈𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦 but when I skimmed the album I couldn't find anything suited what I was after
