Outbreak

I'm surprised I haven't seen much on here about their show at Outbreak in Manchester last Sunday, so I thought I'd share my thoughts.

This was the fourth time I've seen La Dispute and it was by far their best performance yet. The energy that Jordan and all of the band brought was incredible.

Credit for the energy also has to be given to the audience and Outbreak for facilitating that. The last time I saw them was for the 10 year Wildlife anniversary and the crowd was absolutely abysmally boring, so it was so exhilarating to go to a no barrier show and experience stage invasions and diving.

Everything about it was perfect, from the set list to the vocals. I'm so happy for La Dispute that they've had an increase in popularity recently and I'm happy for the new fans who've discovered such an amazing band. I hope future shows will be something like this one and I can't wait for the official Outbreak footage to come out so I can relive it.

Was anyone else there and if so what was your experience?

Logo with a twist?

Trying to deconstruct the scene in fragments of flower parts

A little nervous to post here, but I wanted to share with fellow Disputers.

I have listened to Landlord Calls the Sheriff In about 60 times and I have still yet to become tired of it

Holy shit. I am insane about Landlord.

I have nothing substantial to say. I just really love Landlord. I hope La Dispute knows I am Landlords, maybe, like top 24 fans.

That is all thank you for your time.

If they don’t play it in sydney I WILL sook.

Leeds show was incredible

Anyone else catch them play Brudenell last night?

It was my fifth time seeing them and I think maybe the best yet. The genuine love the band have for that venue was so cool to see and the energy was amazing. Jordan has never sounded better IMO, the rest of the band were impeccable (even with failing equipment), the setlist was full of gems (ending w ECF and then small hands - damn!).

Felt super privileged to see them play the first few tracks off of NOWDTC at Brude last year, and then see them wrap up their Europe dates here again. A real full circle moment, as Jordan said.

Also shout out the supports, both killed it. And a great crowd too. I saw them in Manchester recently and it bugged me a bit that the crowd talked over some of the quieter bits of the set, but last night you could've heard a pin drop when Jordan and Chad did NOWDTC. Proper chills moment.

I love La Dispute, however I had a very interesting first taste of their music

I thought of this again somewhat recently upon getting very heavy into their music, and I'm not sure if anyone else has ever felt like this but when I first was introduced to them I had a very funny, yet slightly annoying thought

I was introduced via Said The King To The River, and while I did like the song (now I really love it), at the time all I could think about was how the singer sounded strongly of Matpat to me. Something about it possessed me, I remember distinctly being unable to properly listen to the damn track because I was too distracted getting flashbanged in my head with an image of Matpat every single line. If I think about it, it truly is still there.

Anyways, I dont really have this experience often, so I felt the need to share it. Now you all must see what I see

Future Wars lyrics added to flash tat

So blessed to get this amazing flash piece that was drawn up by my bud Jessie, @Korndogspritzer on instagram. We talked about our mutual love of spoken word style music and I thought this would be an appropriate lyric to add since I’ve been wanted a La Dispute tat for so long. Love the way it came out <3
(Also didn’t realize till after how many wings I have on my back haha)
